But first before people post up we must make some rules. Rules This topic, as said before, is to post up 'nominated' titles for the list. You can post as many titles as you wish, though try not to repeat the same titles again. Only games that have been released during the following timespan can be nominated: from 2000 to 2009 (eventhough '2009' isn't over yet). You can discuss nominated games though this is not a voting topic. RomanViking Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 I second Morrowind, Mafia, Sims 2, and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (and several others), but we're nominating, so we can't repeat. Also, I'd suggest that MGS3 (Snake Eater?) be changed to, specifically MGS3: Subsistence - due to vastly improved camera alone. If we're gonna choose best games, we should choose the best versions of games too. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin Resident Evil 4 and...Rainbow Six Vegas(for the cover system alone) -That game made me like 1st person shooters again. I don't care if it gets knocked out early, I just wanted to mention it. I can be one of the only people around who might have enjoyed these titles and whom might be the only one that find them worth to be nominated but still. Stronghold: RTS game that made me forget about Age of Empires all along. It felt good, played good and was (at the time and in my opinion) extremely realistic for an RTS game. Probably one of the best RTS games I didn't get bored of playing. One huge drawback was the lame and rather uninspired story/characters. Really cheesy but apart from that a solid game. Company of Heroes. Only the original one to mention. I know the gameplay is almost completely borrowed from another 'Warhammer RTS' made by Relic though I find Company of Heroes to be worth to mention. It made be get back into RTS again. The whole package felt great. Vietcong and Fist Alpha. The oh so underrated Vietnam game that felt authentic. The whole atmosphere was right. The music (especially themesong), the weapons, the story, the levels... it all felt right. Even the graphics that were already outdated at the time (well, most people said that) made the game feel good. Although Battlefield Vietnam was more popular, in my opinion Vietcong is the best Vietnam war game made. The Expansion Pack just brought more of the goodness into the game. And, obviously, these two :]. The same can be said about the DLC games. Both have their own stories. On the other hand, it's the 'Trinity' and all three the stories are connected. The whole experience equals IV PLUS both DLC episodes. So, shall I put 'Grand Theft Auto IV + Episodes of Liberty City' or how it is now?
