Wheres Roman;s new cab depot?

In the mission Roman's Sorrow Dimitri burns down Roman's apartment and his cab stand. A little while later Roman calls Niko to tell him the good news, that the insurance company thinks it was an electrical fire. Roman then goes on to tell Niko that he set up another cab stand and that Bellic Enterprises is again back and runnin.

 

Well WTF? They never tell you or show you where Roman's new cab stand is. You would think that Roman would tell Niko of all people where his new stand is. What do you think?

Actually Roman told Niko the insurance company gave him an apartment which is Niko's first house in Algounquin

Actually, no, he does get a new cab depot, and the game never shows you where it is - it doesn't exist.

 

Considering that Roman was in fact supposed to originally do Limo's, it was probably supposed to be fixed by the end of the game, the original depot, that is, but they probably changed their minds about fixing the apartment and depot (I guess they decided giving the player back a safehouse in Dukes was not important, and neither was roman's depot).

 

He did not get given the apartment, he bought it, and it was a while after the call about the new depot, IF my memory serves.

Well, seeing as the game was already delayed and unfinished, it was probably more about getting the game out.

 

Like, remember the trailer with Niko in a Limo? That was roman's limo - yes, "scripted just for the trailer" was a lie and Rockstar lies ALL the time. Fact.

It probably was just not enough time, that's all. "Just a scripted sequence" was damage control - The name of the model for Roman's depot is "Limo_depot" or something to that effect - so obviously, it's yet another lie I caught them in

 

Can't blame them, their fans are rabid, they gotta say what they say.

He took quite the step up from working in the sh*ttiest depot since Kaufman Cabs to ordering around 4x4's all day, so he could have the freedom to work from wherever he wanted I suppose. The golden rule is, it's wherever we aren't. It's pretty un-important.

I think they took out the limos because of the way the taxi drivers drive. Imagine how many times you'll end up with the driver stuck in an Austin Powers situation.

you must have a broken copy cause he does infact send out Cavalcades

You have to get atleast 60% friendship with him to get the cab service (Calvalcades)

Well, considering that you don't get any missions associated with the new cab depot it's not surprising that they dropped it from the storyline other than Roman mentioning it that one time. The fact that Roman mentioned it, I suppose, was just to let the player keep the option of getting a cab by phone after "Roman's Sorrow".

 

Maybe there is a cab depot operated by Roman somewhere though, but on a smaller scale than the original one in Hove Beach. Maybe it's pretty much just a garage somewhere where he keeps the cars when they are not in use, and that could be anywhere in Liberty City. As we're not given its location it could be anywhere.

If you had a >60% relationship status with Roman in the beginning of the game, then he would always send out those old black taxis before his place burnt down. After he gets his money back from the insurance company, he sets up that new company you're talking about; except this time they use Cavalcades. But originally, he was supposed to send out limos in the beta.

You need to have at least 60% of "like" status with Roman, as been stated above, and make sure you choose the Car Service option from the phone when you want a cab, not just "call". Then he should send one cab to your location.

Actually, you select "car service" and not "job". The "job" option is lost after Roman's Sorrow.

Oops, my mistake, I meant "Car Service" Don't get confused.

If you really think about it, none of the other Taxis in LC have a depot. Only the buses have one, which isn't really needed either, especially since the buses don't have routes, and aren't used by peds period. More than likely, they only put Roman's depot in the game was because it was necessary for the storyline. After Roman's Sorrow, it was no longer needed for the story to continue.

Another interesting thing to mention, in The Lost and Damned, on the mission where you have to kidnap Roman, if you call the depot instead of finding him, Johnny says, "We got two college co-eds over here, and they're in need of a limo, and I'm told this Bellic guy is the man for that kind of work," but what comes is a Roman's Taxi.
