Do you drive by the "rules" in GTA IV ?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to get my "Average Miles per Hour" stat as high I can so stopping at red lights is a no.

However when I'm cruising around with my cars I do everything I can to not crash. Can't stand a broken headlight mad.gif

same here. Dont you know the Health cheat fixes your car when your in it ? I use that if I accidentally crash.

If I can overtake or jump a red light without damaging my car I'll often do it. Basically I drive like I do in the Test Drive missions where you have to take a car somewhere without damaging it or leaving the roads; which is pretty fast, but not often flat-out, very aggressive and always keeping wary of numb nut drivers changing lanes or whatever.

Only when keeping the vehicle in perfect condition is important for re-sale, and even then it is often safer to break traffic rules because the other "drivers" swerve into your lane or hit you from behind if you stop for red lights or drive with the traffic flow. Driving according to the traffic laws slows down your travel time a LOT. There are times when you could exit your vehicle and run faster than traffic.

Hey guys. Well I usally (call me sad) drive around on GTA IV driving by the rules (stopping at red lights, not crashing etc...) exept when I'm doing a mission. Does anyone else do this ?

Don't feel bad I do it too. I mostly do it at the beginning of the game because it usually involves long conversations in the car with roman while going for a short distance. I just think sitting around waiting for the convo to end is just annoying so I try to make it a little realistic by following the rules. Its funny waiting for Roman to stop talking in front of the cap office in "Its your call" and then going into the arrow and roman acts like they JUST got there tounge.gif

yeah. I usally don't do the missions much any more. I just drive around haha.

To this day my father is the only person I have ever seen stop at red lights in GTA IV. It's really funny.

In my "realism" playthrough I'm slowing down for red lights and sometimes pulling California (rolling) stops. Whatever I do, I try to make sure I don't cut anyone off or get in the way.

I like to keep a car in first class condition if possible, but I do like taking something like a Turismo and speeding in and out of traffic to see what narrow gaps I can get through without touching the other cars. I only stick to the red lights if there is a chance of crashing during a mission or a date.

Sometimes I drive by the rules, but when I don't I'm good at avoiding the traffic in the vicinity. I might have a tape recorder soon so then I can maybe post a video of my skills or somthing, hold a contest to see who is GTA's best driver.

never ever!

I only stop to pick up a hooker.

You stop for hookers`??.. Hahahaha.. I have only done it once.. I always aim my car at the hookers when they walk to another car and then I make a sandwich of the hookers..

i've driven properly a few times, but after about 10 red lights in a row i give in and floor it, usually i drive as fast as i can without hitting anything. on the rare occasion i use cheats i drive like a nutter and run over everyone in sight.

Yes, I do it exactley like you did.

Except when on missions.

If I have a nice car, I drive like a real gentleman.

If I have a nice car, I drive like an idiotic maniac.

It depend how far you want.

And it depends on the mood too.

The most fun is when you jacking an already trashed and rusted sh*t car.

It makes driving more fun than it is.

Its a bit hard to see the trashed details since its already trashed biggrin.gif

This can be good, but ppl in liberty city driving too slow and they are too stupid, so i can lost ma nerves if i try to drive 'by the rules' ..and cops doesnt care if u drive on other side of road or crashing other cars mercie_blink.gif

i do sometimes in my comet and stuff, also in rare cars. i got all the good cars. tip : if you want to get lots of cars and you can only keep two in your residents parking space then drive around all over the place until you find more parking spaces then just park the car there and if you forget where you parked it then write down the street name and put it somewhere safe so you wont forget it. if i want to get some where fast then i dial 911 then ask for the police then rob there car and drive around with the sirens on and they will all
