Outfit pickups or buying clothes?

Do you want to collect clothes pickups (like in VC, VCS and LCS) or buy clothes in clothes shops (SA and IV)?

A mix of the way San Andreas and IV did it would be good, not necessarily as many options as SA, but much less limited than IV. Also, being able to aquire certain outfits by completing missions, like IV did with the scrubs and LSD outfit would be good.

because it is useless and this ain't the sims? tounge.gif

I like a few choices in clothing, when contrasting SA to IV, I go with IV any day because

1: Carl sucked at 'changing clothes' - took too damn long to preview something then buy it then put it on etc.

2: Niko feels really well rounded with his final wardrobe, it worked. Too many suits IMO, but, the store, to be realistic, needs a selection tounge.gif

Yeah, I know what you mean.

The clothes in San Andreas did take too long to put on but I liked the customisation.

customization needs to be in GTA. it helps to make each person think they're playing a different game. like the ringtones on niko's cell phone

I think it needs to be as accessible as GTA4, but as inclusive as San Andreas... then it would be perfect.

Clothing stores are mandatory because it's satisfying to discover newly unlocked stores with every island and clothes are a great way to spend your cash, although I think jewelry and accessories go a bit far. I wouldn't mind having single outfits as long as there were a lot of them with different colors and sh*t. In TBOGT they only had outfits but they were put together well so it worked out fine. Most of the time individual pieces of clothing don't fit together well at all and it is just a waste of time. If they had straight up outfits then you could quickly decide what you wanted to wear and put it on fast instead of wasting valuable time experimenting with a bunch of irrelevant details.

Although previewing in San An did take too long, It has to be as diverse for me, especially if the character and location was as diverse as Carl and San An.

I always 'Mix and Match', Carl used to have (mostly) Binco Jeans, Brown unzipped Hoodie from Victem, and any smart white trainers. Niko is always in either 1, Claude's Leather Jacket, Modo Jeans - the darker stonewash ones, and white trainers/black loafers, or 2, same bottom with suit jacket/floral shirt combo. That said, if Vice City had of had the options to mix, I still would have mostly had him in his "Firebird" tracksuit.
