scare then chase

one thing that i've been doing in GTA for the past 2 or so years is scaring a driver by shooting at him/her then chase after them.

 

I got the idea after watching the movie Death Proof in 2007. In that movie there's a psycho killer that uses his car to kill people. In the second half of the movie in particular he's chasing after a car and trying to make it spin out. I soon tried to do this in San Andreas but it was really boring; the cars don't go very fast and won't run from you. Then i realized if i scared them by shooting they put the pedal to the metal and I could just chase them while they're panicked. Btw in San Andreas it was particularly fun to do this in the hills near the vinewood sign, lots of opportunities to knock cars off a steep hill or cliff. Anyways i've continued doing this in GTA IV. Today in TBOGT I tried something different. I pursued a sentinel in a sanchez and tried to shoot out all 4 tires. The more tires you shoot out the funnier it is.

 

I was just wondering if there's others that do the same thing. I actually call this "Death Proof" in honor of the movie.

sh*t, I do the exact same thing. I loved Death Proof and car chases, so I always try this. I like car chases without guns, makes it more intense and longer. We should meet up online.

Ha, i didnt watch the movie or anything but i love doing this, i try to shoot out their tyres, run them off the road or set it on fire and watch them dive out of the car

I try shooting them in the back of the head, and seeing how long it takes for them to die. If it takes to long, I just ram the car in the back.

I do it all the time. It's really fun in a cop car. I like chasing motorcycles and pretending to be a cop. I want to stop them, but I don't want to kill them. It's hard. You need to have skill to hit the tire and not the rider(s).

I just ram their car head-on, seeing if we both fly out (sometimes I bail out before I hit their car). And yeah, I guess I do this as well, lulz.

I do this since GTAIII! I shoot at a car, and then follow it causing mayhem until it catches fire and explodes. It's also a challenge following fast cars that way because they flee with high speed.

I have been in chases with Taxi Drivers, but only because sometimes they like doing insanely stupid things like driving me home only to crash my Infernes. And taking one of my Parking Spaces for no reason... So yeah...

I got Niko chasing some Korean guy in Alderney city, when some of his pals started chasing Niko with knives! I eventually got Niko up the ladder to the ledge on the Ron Oil building and popped them all off as they came up the ladder too. Close shave.

I do did this a lot also! I try not to be real aggressive in a chase and be more realistic and I shoot the tires with a pistol.

back in GTA III I would shoot a car then I would race them down the straight long road in Staunton, was fun.

I get Dwanye's boys to come with me, I shoot one shot at a random car then they start attacking then I juts follow that car until it catches on fire.
