Suicide Doors

I've been searching for tutorials anf mucking around and I can't figure it out.

 

I'm trying to make suicide doors but I have not idea how to do it. If anyone has a tutorial or can tell me how to make them please do.

I'm using 3ds max.

haha I was getting headaches trying to find gull door tuts.

 

Here is what I did.

 

Read this tut How to make scissor doors

I hate zmod so i didnt bother to get it.

 

From that tut I worked out you can.

Import you car. Make a clone of the original door dummy. Rename it to door_scis or whatever you want I dont think it matters. Now link door_lf_dummy to that new dummy (door_scis).

 

Hierchy is like this chassis_dummy>door_scis>door_lf_dummy>door_lf_ok and door_lf_dam

 

Now rotate the door_scis to make the door open the way you want it. By analyzing how the original doors open you can work out which way it needs to be rotated. After you get the angle right you can rotate the door_lf_dummy to perfect it.
