H13N.H3N
is not like i'm a programmer, play or even have GTA IV (yet), or the fact that i don't care at all for the future of this thing, but what i've seen in other kind of trainers for example GTA SA Control Center o GTA III Control Center is that as requirement you need to have certain runtime enviorements, like Microsoft Visual C++, NetFramework or something like that, i see no proof of this trainer working, though it would be a double EPIC FAIL if even being an evil hacker this guy can't manage to fool an Antivirus XD, there are some instructions that can be called from the PC directly through some other dependencies to run an evil command and destroy everything, that's why when you surf looking at porn you get all kind of ad-ware without notice them. i think that all this might be just a bad header in the .exe file which seem to be common in some virus threads, but you know, it's just like my opinion Edited December 22, 2009 by H13N.H3N

sjaak327
LOL you updated it to version 5.8, what happened to all the other versions, or did you start with version 5.7, nice way to ignore all the other questions and concerns that this might not be completely harmfull and working. Time to close the thread me thinks.
wesley123
Updated to v5.8. *ADDED +54 cheat! Have PHUN! Suction Testicle Man
Those of you who suddenly adopt the authority to declare the work of others as malicious, perhaps you could spare a moment to research your accusations. Analysis shows a 17% detection rate, and the positive virus matches are most likely due to the very nature of trainers. They inject and manipulate the game as it runs in the memory - a tactic often used by malicious code, hence the matches. There are not enough matches to consider this trainer a virus. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.
sjaak327
Well, you have to admit that the way this thread is developing, it seems more then likely that something's off. Not saying the file is indeed malicious. But considering xlive protects most of the cheat type values from being tampered with at runtime, a trainer that isn't utilising any of the existing scripthooks, and offering 54 cheats sounds a tad unbelievable. Coupled with the continued ignoring of questions by the topic starter, and it's save to say this thread isn't going anywhere.

The whole country of china with every people proven it? Seriously, this is clearly a trojan in some sort, have you run it, bet not, as then you would hav eknown the trainer doesnt start but instead is active in doing something else. Give any reason why you shouldnt ban the TS and close this thread, as i said the file has something that is nt allowed. i dont know if you either noticed but as Avira found in the previous version of this 'trainer' a different trojan i doubt this is a false positive. Im not trying to be offensive to you in person, but this is kinda ridiculous. another proof: The previous filename of this file was stub.exe as my w7 says, now i googled it, and guess what, it is a trojan(what unexpected) http://www.auditmypc.com/process/stub.asp http://www.spywareremove.com/removestubexe.html http://www.spycheck.nl/genera.php?processf...exe&dir=w&pag=1 EDIT: I have for you, an MBAM log, if MBAM says it is a trojan then it is 90% correct. sjaak327
Not sure if using any flavour of Linux would make you immune for virusses or malware, in fact the number of vulernerabilities of the linux platform nowadays make it certainly not more secure then Windows Vista/7. The only security it enjoys is security due to obscurity. Patching some of the major distro's up nowadays is no small task (mainly Ubuntu and Suse). Mainly because they are stuffed with binaries that no-one really needs anyway. Indeed patching up the few vm's I use with Centos isn't a problem, but then again they are used as server, so no GUI and media libraries present on the system, kind of like Microsoft's server core, less binaries means less attack surface. Back to this trainer, I tried it as well, and it doesn't work, but since OP is devoid of any description as to what it is supposed to do, or how to use it, I guess I will never manage to get it working. For all I know, this could be specific to a certain version of the game (like 1.0.4.0) but no way to find out. Suction Testicle Man
The only security it enjoys is security due to obscurity. About time they got that one on Mythbusters. Ahm3dS, please post something actually related to your trainer, and imagery that's not a badly photoshopped official screenshot, or this topic will be locked. Even MBAM found a trojan in it, and MBAM has one of the least false-positives. There is really nothing that leads it to not being some sort of malware. Lol do you really think people are going to download this in any way? .Nearly no information, a 'screenshot' which doesn't look really trustful. .People trying it and can't get it to run. (propably launching malious things in StE4lThZ? Like the trojan downloader) .People posting screenshots about trojans. .Trojans that keep changing. (weird huh?) .The author himself not replying to what others have to say. I won't ever download it, he propably doesn't respond to others because he can't give some proof about things actually working, and if he tells the truth immediately, then his topic would have been long ago locked, and download suspended, while he wants to last it as long as it can. I think those 'updates' are just attempts to fool the AV securities, he wants to make it look 'clean' ofcourse, so he keeps trying, so when he finnaly manages to get it undetected, then his job is done and he can trick people with his 'clean' stuff. And that is what I think.

oc student
Mods I don't see why the link isn't taken down already. I mean I have tried it and scanned it with Norton and it comes up clean. I run it and nothing at all happens. So even if this isn't a virus (STRONG DOUBTS) it is not a working mod and so it shouldn't even be in the Mod Showroom. Ahm3dS
Hey, Guys! I'm not understanding what is all the mess goin on here.. I'm not evil programmer, I don't write trojans.. I dunno why people trying to proof its a virus by a lot of ways.. The file is CLEAN, There 's not any viruses or trojans inside it... I have tested it in some friends Pc's, And its working well, Sorry, I tried to understand what is the problem that is causing that... I already updated it to v5.9, Fixed a lot of things and updated the whole code... Added some little cheats... Made some tweaks... You can try it now, I hope it runs okay now. I tested on Windows 7, And it runs perfectly now.. Its coded in C#... Im sorry for not posting screenshots, cheats list etc... I had no time.. H13N.H3N
let's end this for once, i'll try to run it on Windows 7 mode in Linux, if works i'll post a screen, if don't you'll be reported. Edit: Fake, you'll be reported now for distribute malicious software, while we have the freedom to choose if download it or not, that does not give you the right of posting this threads, even if it's not 'intentionally malicious' does not work and that is as bad as if were a virus. I had no time.. so you have time to post bullsh*t like this, but no time to make a list? further, you made it to v5.9 in 1 month? really, this is a fking joke and once again i can sure tell you my avira will show this is a virus and MBAM will either. You might want to make your own file instead of renaming stub.exe, that might help. Also, if you want to destroy peoples pc's i suggest you use a vundo, zlob or CIH trojan, wich a pc can hardly heal from. EDIT: guess what? same trojan, but now you at least renamed a different file, RStub.exe wich is same as stub.exe in standalone form a trojan. Ok, Ahm3d, i have to say you are a lcky man, you are still not banned and you can still distribute trojans, you are real lucky. But as you say, you are not 'an evil programmer' and you dont haver time to take pics(wich take less time to do then read this whole topic) why dont you show the source code? and as you have tested it(wich i doubt), why cant you make pics then? making pics is a two minute job so not having time is just plain bullsh*t. Well...not having time explains why you still dont use the good trojans like Vundo, Zlob or CIH(last one isnt dangerous anymore, but still anoying lol) another EDIT: and yes it actually does work, AntiVir blocks the trojan from executing so yes, it does actually work, congratz! wesley123
Yep, this is a bit of ridiculous, admins dont do anything. Sjaak already told that it wasnt a trainer afterall(one reason why it should be locked), i've posted way too many pics of it being a trojan and I even tried to run it to prove my point(wixh is also showed)and is certainly a reason to get this topic deleted and the user banned. I do not understand how the admins here let this guy post a trojan on their forums and do not consider any action against him. To give a bit of more proof i would like to let Sjaak show the code, so Sjaak, if you read this, would you mind to show it? Thank you
