Gr3G
Hi, I import Map from San Andreas to 3Ds Max. Why all textures are bad? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/434534-texture-problem/ Share on other sites

JohnPro
lol those are the LOD models. I haven't used MAP IO for a long time but all I know is you can import the proper models with it . JohnPro
OK ordinary models are nicely textured and good quality however SA has many models so for a computer to render all those high quality models would cause a lot of lag for lower end pc's. Thats why LOD models ares used in games to avoid this lag. To import the proper models grab all the dff's that are used in the IPL file. Export them into a folder and check that the dff files dont have any LOD infront of its name. Again i havent used Map IO so kams script might have options to toggle lod and original models but i dont think it does. I also dont think it can read IMG so you would need to extract the dffs one by one or extract the whole lot. Ill let someone else help you regarding that.
