Groovy
Mastodon not being nominated for Crack the Skye is horsesh*t. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/434433-grammy-nominees/?do=findComment&comment=1059667388 Share on other sites
Don Garcia
Kings of Leon will probably win that one. Or Lady Gaga. Oh, I don't care... Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/434433-grammy-nominees/?do=findComment&comment=1059667449 Share on other sites
ToyMachine
Mastodon not being nominated for Crack the Skye is horsesh*t. What do you mean! Judas Priest, Megadeth and Slayer's mediocre releases should be recognized! Moonshield
Out of the best album, I hope lady gaga wins. Taylor Swift doesn't belong up there, to be completely honest. Don Garcia
Looking at Slam's Pearl Jam topic, I don't get how PJ's "The Fixer" got a best rock song nomination, but their album didn't get nominated? And AC/DC's SAME SH*T album did? lame. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/434433-grammy-nominees/?do=findComment&comment=1059668292 Share on other sites
springsteen_fan
Because The Fixer was released as a single before Aug. 31 or something like that. They will probably get nominated next year Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/434433-grammy-nominees/?do=findComment&comment=1059668311 Share on other sites

Starion
Category 18 Best Metal Performance (For solo, duo, group or collaborative performances, with vocals. Singles or Tracks only.) * Dissident Aggressor Judas Priest Track from: A Touch Of Evil — Live [Epic] * Set To Fail Lamb Of God Track from: Wrath [Epic] * Head Crusher Megadeth Track from: Endgame [Roadrunner Records] * Señor Peligro Ministry Track from: Adios... [13th Planet] * Hate Worldwide Slayer [American / Columbia] I hope Set to Fail gets the award, I thought Lamb of God's Wrath was far better than Megadeth's or Slayer's efforts. Cilogy
First of all I would pick Taylor Swift because she's has good music, but the selections for record of the year are weak anyway. 2009 hasn't been a great year for music in the way that 2008 was. Second, Coldplay is unstoppable, nominated twice again: Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals(For duo, group or collaborative performances, with vocals. Singles or Tracks only.) * Can't Find My Way Home Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood Track from: Live From Madison Square Garden [Reprise] * Life In Technicolor II Coldplay Track from: Prospekt's March EP [Capitol] * 21 Guns Green Day Track from: 21st Century Breakdown [Reprise] * Use Somebody Kings Of Leon [RCA Records] * I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight U2 Track from: No Line On The Horizon [interscope] Best Short Form Music Video(For an individual track or single promotional clip. Award to the Artist and to the Video Director/Producer.) * Mr. Hurricane Beast Ben Steiger Levine, video director; Sach Baylin-Stern, video producer [Verve Forecast] * Boom Boom Pow The Black Eyed Peas Mat Cullen & Mark Kudsi, video directors; Anna Joseph & Patrick Nugent, video producers [interscope Records] * Life In Technicolor II Coldplay Dougal Wilson, video director; Matthew Fone, video producer [Capitol] * Wrong Depeche Mode Patrick Daughters, video director; Jonathan Lia, video producer [Capitol] * Her Morning Elegance Oren Lavie [A Quarter Past Wonderful/Adrenaline] Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/434433-grammy-nominees/?do=findComment&comment=1059673548 Share on other sites
Slamman
Music continues to decline in value, much like everything these days. I feel Kenye West might STILL jump on stage when Taylor Swift does and say "Imma let you finish, but Beyonce, she's the best EVAAAAAAAA!!! Scuse this here, Imma just drunk outta ma mind again. And skulk back off stage. It would be funny if it happened again. I think Megadeth all the way, best artist of all time! This Century anyway Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/434433-grammy-nominees/?do=findComment&comment=1059673637 Share on other sites
Cilogy
Music continues to decline in value, much like everything these days. I agree with you but only on music that is recognized nationally or internationally. The music that is considered "popular" today is definitely declining. This is why I rather listen to independent musicians, or in general, musicians that are not recognized as much as they should be. (bad analogy): Sometimes the smallest rocks have the greenest moss.
