They are the Tier 1 Operators. Over 2 million Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines wear the uniform. Of those, approximately 50 thousand fall under the direct control of the Special Operations Command. The Tier 1 Operator functions on a plane of existence above and beyond even the most highly trained Special Operations Forces. Their exact numbers, while classified, hover in the low hundreds. They are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence. The new Medal of Honor is inspired by and has been developed with Tier 1 Operators from this elite community. Players will step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan. There is a new enemy. There is a new war. There is a new warrior. He is Tier 1. Not really happy with the 'font change'... it's a dramatic change compared to the original font. Though, this could mean a fresh new start (and not such a big disappointment like last games were, although Pacific Assault was pretty damn good in my opinion). edit: Fall 2010? Didn't one of the PS3 magazine rumour this for spring 2010? Anyways, this sounds more realistic... Don't go overpowering weapons just because the retarded masses want to have those weapons... or go dual wield overpowered 'sawn off shotguns' in a 'modern warfare' game... REALLY looking forward to this. Isn't that one of the 'Special Forces' guys who did alot of crazy stuff in Afghanistan in the teaser/on the background of the 'Official Website'? I mean... it looks alot like him (Beard, Shemagh, M4 SOPMOD,...). Minic Posted December 2, 2009 Share Posted December 2, 2009 (edited) I've kinda been wondering when they'd announce a new Medal Of Honor, and i was thinking the other day that they'll most likely go modern with it, looks like i was right. I didn't mind Airbourne, but there was no lasting appeal to it and i ended up getting rid of it, but i'm quite looking forward to seeing the full trailer and hopefully it'll include a small bit of gameplay. I'm pretty damn glad this ha sbeen announced. EDIT: Menaced, i just went on the official twitter and someone seems to have asked about the name, here's the responce: @DEATHSTROKE13 It will indeed just be called "Medal of Honor". So the new set in Afghanistan eh? Might be awesome, now that DICE is helping with the MP, we might have more complex, fun MP feature! Anyone remember the awesome chapter on Omaha Beach? That D-Day level is a win! Also, the Airborne 101 paratroopers in Europe, just like Band of Brothers by HBO! I hope they don't f*ck up. This could be bigger than Modern Warfare. Also just throwing it out there. Thier needs to be a game set in Vietnam that doesn't suck. It's a good thing the game industry is moving on from World War 2...it just took them like what 50 years to do so. And another thing that Iraq game....to bad it got cancelled. The only hint at a release date so far is Fall 2010, and DICE are doing the multiplayer apparently, so some might guess that it will use the Frostbite Engine.
