CryptReaperDorian
Today I was screwing around trying to get better in the Annihilator and trying to get the orbiting thing mastered (which I really can't do much at all). I, however, found a MUCH easier way to become elite and orbit while having good accuracy. Attention all yous pilots that can't get the orbiting and shooting thing done in first person! There is an easier method to become ace! Here's how you do it. Switch to cinematic view by pressing until you go to it. Now go to the view that is between the left of the helicopter and the miniguns. Press DOWN on the right analog stick so it stays or "locks" at that camera angle. Sometimes if you hit the ground the camera will change, but you can just switch back to the view and press down on the right analog stick again. This view somewhat resembles what it looks like in FPS games, but it's really in third person. Unlike the first person view, the camera is sturdy so you won't have the nose bobbing around making it harder for you to aim. With this view it's quite easy to shoot, and it's probably easier to shoot with this than the first person view. Also, with this view it'll be MUCH easier to orbit so you don't have to train a month or few in the first person view to get it mastered. You can master this view in a week at most probably. Try this on the beach in Hove Beach. Try to orbit around the playground set while shooting at it. Start out slow, don't try to fly very fast into the orbit until you have quite a bit of practice. ---------- For the pilots that already mastered the first person view, I'm not sure if this will be better for yous or not. However, before yous claim to "just stick to the first person mode", try it for yourselves. It won't be hard to notice how much less effort you need to master this mode. The only problem is that the helicopter block about half of the screen.
J4ADM
I'll give it a shot for sure, but you can't really see what's going on around you. +you don't have a mini map to know where your targets are!
Double_Deagle
There's a mini map in the screenshot...so I guess you have one!

mylungsareburnin01
I tried it and the camera does not freeze in that position.

stuart-88
Press DOWN on the right analog stick so it stays or "locks" at that camera angle... As it says on the tin. Learn something new everyday! I will try that, some of the cinematic views are pretty cool.
CryptReaperDorian
Yeah, I was trying to figure out if there was a way to freeze the camera in place, and then all of a sudden I noticed pressing down on the right analog stick does that (seeing that pressing left, right, and up changes the view). So, anybody try it yet? I tell you it makes orbiting a lot easier.
Booze
Yeah, you should also try flying cockpit-view, it's pretty cool If you're in that view and you want to shoot stuff however, you'll first have to break your windows, otherwise you can't see if your bullets are hitting your target (no sparks/dust clouds). I tried flying in that gun-mounted view for a while, but eventually switched back because I couldn't see enough. The muzzle flash annoyed me as well... However, it does seem easier to manage your tilt with that view, so you can definitely try it if you're a rookie
CryptReaperDorian
You mean the passenger bay view behind the character? I find that view cool also, but the window could be little lower so bullets are easier to see. Does breaking the front window actually fix that? Also, how can you break the front window without going through it or possibly a large crash? I do agree that the flash is somewhat irritating, but I'm able to look past that and control the heli well. The flash and helicopter taking up half of the screen are pretty much the only downsides of this technique though. I just can't stand how in the first person mode that the camera isn't fixed in one spot.
mylungsareburnin01
I tried that and had quite a bit of success, now the frustrating part is actually getting to a friggin chopper in tbogt freemode.
floof
you see less on your screen with that. 1st person view is more zoomed in so when your at the max range your see things a bit clearer. take the time and learn first person. I play with soo god damn many great people and they all use it.
cartoonlyon
I tried that and had quite a bit of success, now the frustrating part is actually getting to a friggin chopper in tbogt freemode. theres 4 spawn points and most people camp the airport. shouldn't be to hard.
