jamjam1000
Hey guys, Recently, my GTA4 has been locking up and freezing almost every play. It's random, and happens either after a few minutes, or hours. I'm not sure if its a hardware problem, or a heat problem (I live in Australia, and its summer). Basically, when I'm playing the game it just stops, the sound begins repeating itself and the screen goes black (or sometimes fuzzy colours fill up the screen) and I have to reboot. My specs are below; Q9400 Quad Core 2.66GHZ 4gb DDR2 Ram Gigabyte EP45-UD3L motherboard Gforce 9800 gt Vista 32 bit CPU, Hard-drive, graphics card and case fans are all working. Any ideas? jamjam1000
Look in the FAQ for details on memrestrict and cleanmem. yeah the FAQ doesn't address the problems I am having. My problems are much different to 'stuttering'. You may have also missed the fact I have 4gb of Ram, not 2 or less. Also, the FAQ does not diagnose my problem, because I don't know whether its a heat or hardware issue. If anyone else has the problems I described above please post and we can try and figure it out.
