Liberty City feels more a part of the GTAIII-Era universe than GTA III did. I think this is probably due to the fact that R* have created the games and have more fake companies/people/places to mention.

But in LCS, there are Didier Sachs, Binco & Zip adverts, and all the time peds are saying stuff like "You belong in Carcer City" or "im moving to vice City"

Overall this game makes Liberty feel part of the universe.

If this makes sense to anyone, what are your thoughts.

  • 2 weeks later...

Era 1: GTA 1, London 1969, London 1961.

Era 2: GTA 2.

Era III: GTA III, GTA VC, GTA SA, GTA Advance, GTA LCS, GTA VCS.

Era IV: GTA IV, GTA: TLatD, GTA: TBoGT, GTA CTW.

A new era starts when they put a new number in the game (III, IV, etc) and they make a new game engine. and the game itself is like a new "dimension". the Liberty city of GTA 2 is different from the one in GTA III and same thing with III to IV. it's like they erase the whole story, cities and characters to start all over again from scratch.

III started it all, Liberty City Stories expanded and added things that they felt were missing or were inputed into the future games, I.e. safehouses. so really Liberty City only adds more to the universe that III created. smile.gif

The point of this topic might just be true... GTA3's companies were mostly non-existent in the other non-LC GTA games, and many of the companies referenced in LCS were only added at VC or SA, and then there are King Knuts and Fidl, which were added in LCS and referenced in VCS!
