I'm not really a COD fan, but I know they have the demos on PSN and if it's true, that with much practice with the game I will become better at gunning people down when online, I'll consider downloading it and trying to up my skills. I'm at level 9 in GTA but I still seem to be takin down by some level 4 and 5's at some points. So is it true, that COD makes you a better shooter? CryptReaperDorian Posted November 28, 2009 Share Posted November 28, 2009 I doubt it as the aiming sensitivity is quite different since COD is a first-person game while GTA IV is a third-person game. Also, I find COD to usually be pretty close combat (compared to GTA IV) while using a sniper in GTA IV so close would be a huge mistake. Through the faster pace of the game you might also get an advantage or two in the reaction time. But your feeling for the aim and the size of the map is gonna be f*cked to no limits! A J Posted December 1, 2009 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Bonecrusha, you play with auto aim on or off? i presume you play with it off, otherwise your a douche (joking) but seriously playing COD has no effect on your skills in GTA, infact when I play COD after playing GTA it takes sometime to get used to the change, plus the difference in gameplay is so different. Just because you have more money than them that doesn't mean you are better. I'm rank 10 and I often find a >8 guy constantly killing me. The same for races. So is it true, that COD makes you a better shooter? no. i used to have the best k/d ratio in the match in a lot of games in cod4, but when i started IV i sucked. Now in IV i can kill whoever i want by sniping, but now i suck in cod6.
