jumbo0 11
Ok I started a new topic for the Snow Mod v2.0 because the previous topic is so big you can't find anything back in it Also because I want a clean start for the new version. I will start working on the snowmod with v1.1. So all features from v1.1 will be in 2.0 but with some renewed things and hopefully some new features. Later on I will make a list of the (re)new(ed) features. I don't have so much time but i'll work on it as fast as possible. But i'll need some people for this this time! Mostly scripters I guess. People I need: - Scripter: "gr8man" Change the rain in real snow, not just textured - Scripter: "gr8man" Cars should make real live tracks in the snow - Scripter: Water should be frozen - Audio: "Jantsu92" Remove tire skid sounds, and make snow-footstep sounds - Modeller/Texturer:"i_speel_good" Cars shoud have snow on the hood, roof,... - Modeller: Create a new vehicle, a truck that cleans snow off the roads - Retexturer: "jumbo0" Renewed snow textures and fixed bugs + new lighting settings Interested? PM me!! I'll work on some lighting and other things and also some retexturing. You can download Snow Mod v1.1 here Ideas? Post them here and we'll see whats possible! You can follow this mod also on Google Wave Download it HERE Greetz, jumbo0

Kowaah 3
Last thing you ask is modelling-wise, modeller makes an extra which shows sometimes when car spawns looking like real snow on cars. That's very easy job (for one car), but i'm not on IV modding, i just don't see point modding it at all.
gr8man 2
I can make real time tracks in the snow,I was even going to release an addon for v1.

OverTheBelow 238
I can make real time tracks in the snow,I was even going to release an addon for v1. This is the feature I most definitely want. I saw it on some other snow mod (yes, there is another but it is hardly finished).
i_speel_good 0
- Scripter/Texturer:"i_speel_good" Cars shoud have snow on the hood, roof,... Not really scripter, more like Modeller. But thanks for letting me be a part of this since I've neglected my Snow Mod so much. By the way, this is a great chance to try out Google Wave; I believe you've heard of it. It's awesome for collaborative projects such as this.

Sounds interesting so tell me all about it @ OverTheBelow: Make it and make a Youtube movie, we'll see wich one is best
GamerShotgun 169
About the snowy car roofs: You should rethink that... the best method would be to use a scripted object what's put on your vehicles roof after a small time, or fades in somehow... but it would be hard. Then again, what if users aren't using original cars, but modded ones?
gr8man 2
I'm not a scripter,I'm a texturer. Soon I will show you what I can do.

To everyone, I've made a website of the snowmod, you can see the latest news and screenshots there! Ofcourse i'll keep posting in this topic. i_speel_good 0
No what is google wave? And how are you gonna use it in GTA IV? Sounds interesting so tell me all about it Google Wave is a very cool project by Google. Basically it mixes IM, Email and Wiki editing, to create the ultimate collaborative tool. (for example a wave for the project can have modelling and texturing ideas that can be edited by any team member etc)

i_speel_good 0
I'm guessing it's a texture applied in the place where the wheels go with a bumpmap, which has turned out pretty well as I see!
gr8man 2
None of the suggestions is right. You will see when i make a video.

GTAdedan 2
I bet it's the tracks that you make when driving on grass/dirt. Looks really stunning and realistic!
gr8man 2
Here is the vid: My advise is to better watch the screenshot because on the video the traces look very bad.And for the mod I'm going to make them appear every time you are on the road,no matter how you drive. jumbo0 11
Thank you very much! This looks very good gr8man! Really! You gonna add more detail in the tracks? If you send me the file(s) I can test it with the snow mod and post screens/movie
gr8man 2
You should send me some road textures,so I can make new textures for the tracks.
jumbo0 11
You should send me some road textures,so I can make new textures for the tracks. I think it's almost impossible, because then you will have to replace thousands of textures
gr8man 2
I just need one single texture.
