LostSoul 301281 Posted November 28, 2009 Share Posted November 28, 2009 (edited) Arrgghh! I cannot believe this is still happening. I just had a race around the airport, in a full race of 16 players. I was doing really well. Got in to 1st place and had a great lead for the first lap. Then I got around to the gates leaving the runway and these two complete... morons decide to block the gates, causing everyone to crash. I lost first place. Fair enough I thought, I'll make it up. Then on the next lap they'd moved up a little way, around to where the road leads in front of the main terminal, and another idiot had joined them, and they were blocking and ramming people as they came through. I thought all these tw@s had given up this... stupidity. It completely ruins games. Rant over. Was in this 1 race on the highway in Alderney, Don't look down I think, and someone put jumps on all the turns so you would go flying off the highway if you went too fast. Also you couldn't see them until you were right on top of them. That might have been the funniest races ever. It was like 5 or 6 laps and the guy must have gone around the first lap dropping them then the chaos started. Generally, I've done it a couple of times to be honest (on the same race you're explaining). I know it's irritating, but if you're the one doing it it's actually quite funny. I quite hate the airport race though as it's usually my weakest one. To avoid this problem it's considered that you don't use the airport race as many people goof up and are left WAY behind thus leaving of griefing. If you think you're doing that bad, why don't you just leave the game instead of trying to ruin it for others? I play MP for fun. I actually try and compete in races properly. If I get kicked around by idiots, getting spun out or driven into by people blocking the track or driving the wrong way, I generally leave and end up giving people bad feed back so that I hopefully don't get matched with them again. It also really pisses me off. If you hate it being done to you, why do it yourself? I'm not really ranting at those here that do it, just stating my frustration. It's the same with people who try and ruin the co-op games. Why do it? Why do people join games just to ruin it for others? Like it or not, we're all self-centered hypocrites to atleast some degree (some more than others). I know it may offend some, but it is somewhat the truth I believe. As I said, best way to avoid it is not to do Taxiing or any race in which some players can possibly fall WAY behind. It's another one of those things Rockstar failed on with the MP section of this game. You can 't choose to actually host a game, so there's no guarantee that you will be selected as host and therefore be able to choose the circuit. Every other track has probably 5-10+ It's pointless avoiding a race track 'just incase' someone decides to block the track! Found out best way to get the Taxiing (airport) race. go to the gate where the racers enter to the airport from the parking lot, grab the Phantom (big truck) that spawns nearby, and its the perfect fit for that gate! Also in Horse Punch you can use the bus to block the giant arc. If you wedge it in enough nobody can move you and the only way around are those tiny lanes on the side of the arc which can be blocked with cars! On that airport gate, you can just hit the checkpoint and then respawn, then the 5 seconds it respawns the car is a ghost car so it passes through you. Me and grease once tried that and failed, though we could try parking a bit infront of the checkpoint, but if there are 10+ racers, they are stronger then the truck. You gotta show me that horse punch trick though. It can be funny at times but the times when you've got your serious head on and all you want to do is race it can be frustrating. It's like when you are winning a race or chasing in 2nd then they block the routes so they can help their mates. It's nearly as bad as racing in Cannonball Run only for you to get kicked from the game by the great unwashed because you are in the lead, or those who drop out of a race because they're last after the 1st lap. There are too many f'kin morons out there who take pleasure out of other people's misery, thankfully I give them bad rep in hope that I can avoid them in future. I was in first place and there was some guy behind me and he kept ramming into me at the corners because he wouldn't take over me properly! I hate people who do that, so i decided to ditch my second place position and block the gates leading back onto the runway. He lost first and came 4th in the end. Justice served And the guy who won the race who was originally in 3rd place sent me a message calling me a loser and saying he didn't need my help. Then back in the lobby the players kicked me. They can be wee arseholes though. I'v came to the conclusion its just they can't race. They suck so they see no point in trying, so a quick message laughing at the wee pricks tends to get them turning the anger onto you he he and tom, about getting kicked.. since i'v hit 10, theres always someone wanting to kick me out lol only been 2 or 3 times so far i have been kicked (normally quite fast aswell to.)
