in arguments about GTA4 and how it's boring brings up Roman calling you every 5 minutes. It is literally the dumbest argument towards a game in the history of gaming.... It's so f*cking stupid and people saying it should get punched in the f*cking face.

 

Grand Theft Auto 4 certaintly must be very close to perfection because all the hate towards this game is so f*cking stupid and just don't make sense. If the only argument you can come up with when hating towards the game is "Roman calls you every 5 minutes, so the game sucks" it's pretty obvious that this game has pretty much reached perfection, because if an argument is as pathetic as that then it's pretty clear Rockstar is doing something right.

 

People also say it's repetitive, and I can see how SA fans find it repetitive in comparison, I don't agree the many different ways of doing missions goes for f*cking great replay value.

 

If someone loves GeoW and don't find it repetitive I don't think they have the right to hate the missions in GTA4 beacuse it's more of the same except you can do it in many different ways. Same goes for fans of Uncharted and pretty much any other shooter out there. I'm not saying you have to like the game but the hate it gets is f*cking stupid.

 

If you don't like it then it's just not for you, but don't blame it on the game because it is not repetitive for f*ck sakes.

I wouldn't say its the best in the series (some story though) but the fact the game series has came this far. The graphics engine is just so /drool

It's an annoyance, but R* knows it's bad. It weren't really forced on you in the DLCs. It's a bad excuse in my opinion.

i do not even understand the arguments about friends calling you every five minutes. I have only had friends call me once or twice in the main game and the episodes...

 

And the argument about missions being repetitive is stupid too, as every GTA game has had what could be called "repetitive missions". The game is about being a criminal who steals cars, so of COURSE the game is going to have lots of car chases and shooting. the san andreas fanboys piss me off even more as that game was repetitive as hell too but they act like two missions with parachutes makes up for it. wtf?

Hm, I did the Liberty City Minute Trophy in 11 hours total and I got 2 calls that werent story related. Yeah, I can see that this huge amount can annoy people.

 

But where did this happen to you? I hardly run into those people any more...

I don't mind them nearly as much as the people who like saints row 2 better. I can accept why some people like that game, but I can not for the life of me put away the epic rage when someone has the gull to say broken ass saints row 2 is better than GTA IV. It disgusts me and makes me wish a comet would hit their bedroom while they are wanking and leave just enough of them left for their mother to know

 

Like, it isn't even better than GTA III, the cars aren't even on THAT level, let alone IV's. Saints Row 2 feels like True Grime with horrible art (it is comparable to the art of that, a ten year old game without the bloom and bump maps which there is too much bloom, and not enough bump. The idiots bumped the curbs but not the roads wtf)

 

Point blank, and I bet 90% of the people you ask this question to here would say the same thing: GTA IV is the greatest, most ambitious and well thought-out titles that the video game industry has ever seen and it deserved every 10/10 it got, right across the boards, amirite?
