I've often wondered similar things mainly cos as far as I know I'm the 3rd oldest member here at the half century mark...a "59" model! JAJ and JAJsbrother being somewhat "wiser" than I. About 2003 a friends girlfriends 7 year old lil brother was messing with GTA 3 and I laughed my ass off watchin it, went out next day and bought 3 and VC (PC) then spent 4 years in SA and now am LOVING GTA IV...I had been doing other mainly FPS games before but nothing compares to the world of GTADom! Am loving Fallout 3 tho! Anobody remember the Avalon Hill bookcase games? (wargames) Young'uns please dont beat up the old guy but I think age brings a somewhat different view towards the game...example...I have spent 4 HOURS in IV and did not fire one shot or have one "accident" just exploring and taking in the sights and peds and the incredible world THAT IS IS! Dont get me wrong tho, I can rape, murder and pillage with the best of them tho, I just dont do it all the time. The other day I was on the train back home (1 hour travel from work to home) and right in front of me there was a man who looked "old" with an iphone and was reading stuff on Facebook. I looked at the guy and thought "what the heck is that "old" man doing on Facebook? Leave that to kids!"... then I thought... "s**t, what AM I doing playing Fifa10 on a PSP! Who am I to talk when that guy could be my same age"... Oh middlife crisis... My first computer was a 48k ZX Spectrum plus, first game was Horace goes Skiing, back in 1985. 29 years old now for the record and in attempt to stay on topic. Needless to say, computers have come a long way since then. I have painful memories of waiting 5 mins for cassette tapes to load, only for them to crash right at the end and have to rewind and start all over again. Kind of puts some of the irritating bugs of GTA IV into perspective. Most people (99.99%) should be able to differentiate between reality and fantasy from the age of 10. I didn't play GTA 1 until I was 14 (that was when I discovered it), but I was playing Carmageddon when I was 12, and in terms of intentional vehicle violence, Carmageddon makes GTA look like a friendly game of Tetris.
