bPlanet 0
Stuck on the "Easy as Can Be" mission. Stolen the car, parked it inside the Brucie's garage. Cuscene with Nico and mechanic exchange words. Nico is leaving the garage and the garage door slams shut right in front of his nose. Nico get's stuck (continues to bump against the door), no keyboard controls working, autosave is not triggered yet. The only option is to reload last save. Tried a couple of times (killing the pursuers instead ignoring them, going to "Pay'n Spray" instead of driving straight to the garage) - result is the same. Has anybody encountered something like that?
xxCrowTechxx 0
Ya, this happened to me before and it is so very frustrating. I believe if you just skip the cut scene you'll just end up outside automatically. It's an interesting glitch that not many people have mentioned.
supermortalhuman 5
Can't skip that cutscene. Happened to me once when stealing cars after that mission, I had my game settings up way to high (high textures on 512mb card at the time) and it didn't load the parts. All you do is put down the pad/let go of the mouse and wait - eventually, the game will clean up the mission and launch you outside (within a couple minutes) I'm betting you drove up fast and the garage finsihed loading after you were already in it, thus the door was not there (they are different now, modders ) yet so you got IN before it ever existed, so it never opened FOR the car you had, and it never opens for 'just' Niko, so you got stuck because it loaded the door after you were already in there. bPlanet 0
Thanks, xxCrowTechxx. I already thought I am going mad. Almost dozen attempts, zero results from googling. BTW, supermortalhuman, skipping cutscene worked for me. Just had to wait until the dialogue finishes. I was hitting "space" like mad, and, at some point (probably when Nico started walking away) it worked!
entendro 0
I have run into this problem and I am unable to skip the cutscene. I have tried leaving my PC to let it "fix itself", for a good 30 minutes, but this does not work either. What happens is, at the end of the cutscene, Nico walks toward the garage door, and it closes before he is out. Then he is just walking into the door forever and the scene never ends. I have tried everything outside the cutscene to prevent this from happening: tried to drive JUST up to the marker to make sure I was not too far into the garage, stopped outside the open door and parked another car under it. But no matter what I do, Nico is in the same position during the cutscene, and the door closes before he can get outside. I'm convinced the glitch is entirely within the cutscene, and the only way out is to skip it, but I can spam skip from beginning to end, and the cutscene is not skippable. How do I get past this? entendro 0
After a few tries I managed to get out, just by luck that when the door landed on Nico's head he slipped forward instead of back. Weird that this bug is so seldom reported. Perhaps the door closing is rendered too fast on newer hardware?
