Well Dubai has many good reasons but also has a few downfalls aswell and they are listed here: Good points -Dubai is home to the newly built and famous Burji Dubai. -Its has a very large metro area with skyscrapers and a good skyline. -It has 250,000 labourers, mostly South Asian, working for less than US$10 a day on real estate development projects such as the Dubai Marina. Could be a good proganist? -Dubai is known for its exstreme richs and wealth. -Yusalf would feature. -We wolud be able to visit the Liberty City themed Hotel. -It has its own metro rail. -Its has urban areas and slums. -It has a very intresting map. -It has the best hotel in the world. If R* make all characters speak arabic it would be impossible to understand anything. If R* make all characters speak english it would be highly unrealistic. I mean; dont you just hate to see a film about the secound world war, where all the Germans speaks Oxford english? But for the record, this is in no way a clue, hint or evidence just witty remark. And Rockstar could be the first to do a middle eaten progenies. supermortalhuman Posted November 23, 2009 Share Posted November 23, 2009 Crime rate in Dubai is relatively non existent. Cocaine dealers get put to death. It is a very peaceful and religious place on most counts, and I really couldn't relate not one bit to anything that could possibly take place there unless the story was written in some "we're not so different after all" kinda way, which is like an after school special. It offers some cool visuals and a neat looking map, it lends not much else to the GTA series. Maybe a tomb raider game would go well with a brief mission there. Yusalf came to Liberty for reason, eh? Yes, absolutely amazing visuals. Wouldn't you think a location like this deserves more than just GTA though? Don't get me wrong, obviously, I love GTA, but I think it not only takes place where it does for media reasons, I think it also takes place where it does because there isn't much else you can do in realistic based games in those locations. If you don't use criminals, you need aliens or to be a cop to make these places fun Wouldn't a Uncharted be awesome in this place? A Tomb Raider? visionist Posted November 23, 2009 Share Posted November 23, 2009 Just to throw this out there; Dubai has recently had an immense and catastrophic economic downfall. Literally 90% of the thousands of huge skyscrapers under construction are lying unfinished, their workers out of a job. Immigration to the city has collapsed and in the airport car park hundreds of cars are found abandoned every week, their owners having fled the country, their gloveboxes full of maxed out credit cards and scrawled notes of apology lying on the seats. These cars are not everyday cars. These cars are top end Mercedes, Ferraris and Maybachs. Abandoned because that's just how bad the financial situation has become. A crime infested GTA Dubai suddenly dosen't seem like such a far fetched concept. Just to throw it out... maxopower Posted November 23, 2009 Share Posted November 23, 2009 I know Wikipidia isn’t the most reliable sours but… Although Arabic is the official language of Dubai, Urdu, Persian, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Tamil, Tagalog, Chinese and other languages are spoken in Dubai. English is the lingua franca (is a language systematically used to communicate between persons not sharing a mother tongue ) of the city and is very widely spoken by residents. I think language is gradually becoming an smaller and smaller obstacle, regardless of It’s Chinese Spanish or French, English is a very widely spread language and I think GTA is ready to take on the rest of the world.
