Recommended Posts

Im getting ready to buy san andreas and was thinking about getting on the pc since its 10 bucks cheaper and has mods and multiplayer. But before i buy it I wanna know what the controlls are. Could someone post a controll sheet and than tell whether or not you like the controlls. Thanks a million smile.gif

The Available games in the stores is version 2 which as it stands is Not Moddable, nor can play MP on line.

[The Version One game is moddable, but mostly unavailable, unless you search really hard as it was recalled from the distributors years ago...]

You will have to downgrade Version 2. LOOK elsewhere on GOOGLE.

The controls in the game are basic game Key Board and Mouse.

However, the best part is that the game is designed to use a GamePad.

I suggest one with at least 12 buttons (I use Logitech, and had a Seitek, which both performed very well straight from the box without any special drivers.) to simulate the orginal PS2 game controls.

I also do not recommend using game console controler from Xbox or PS3 as some troubles in setting them up can be had. SEARCH forum for problems.

Yes ... as Jack Reacher says. You can quickly change controls assignments within the game on either K&M or GamePad.

when I had a 10 button gamepad I would change control buttons during missions to make it easier. Thas's why I recommend 12 buttons.

That is only part true-the only version that is un-moddable is V3(the Steam and D2D version) Script mods work extremely well on V2-that's the version I have and mods like Mission passer's, Pillager, Spaceinteins'(spelling)?, etc work just fine. I recall seeing in the modding forums that there is a way to mod version 2. i am unsure about MP though.

PC is better, since you can customize the controls to whatever feels more comfortable to you. The PC version has a User Track Player(the PS2 doesn't and neither does the X-box version if played on the 360-as that was disabled when playing on the 360.) the PC version is cheaper.
