autoaim

If you think that, you haven't played against some of the good shooters. I'd say it actually speeds up and becomes more mental inlove.gif Cover and rolling/crouching actually work better wink.gif And when you die, you know its been a good shot, rather than tap, aim up , tap. And the fact that the main thing in GTA (the cars) become unusable in AA, just makes AA totally sh*t.

supermortalhuman

Meh, first person shooters don't belong on a joy-pad explicitly because they are free aim and should use a mouse for the "neck control", not a stiff and sh*tty analog.

I can not believe FPS "got big" only after it went to "inferior machines''. Defies logic.

Anyway, I like autoaim, it helps me to use my joypad but people on PC are bitches and kick you tounge.gif

Well, what can you say that wasnt mentioned many times before?

For me it is irrelevant what I play, everything gets boring if you play it long enough. Just have to say I would have missed some great games on both sides if I strictly sticked to one aim mode.

If one mode gets boring try another. Play Deal Breaker with AA on, then play it AA off. Its a completely different game.

Its a personal preference called freedom. So I really dont get why people try to convince other people to play the way they want. It gets dull and it is unnecessary.

But thats probably the way it always will be...

Comparing disallow v cpu, and disallow v players are 2 diff things. Both dam fun though. Thats why TMW is so much fun with disallow. You've got your players on the way (drive bys ftw), at the task aswell, and a fair bunch of times at the task, npcs. So shoot outs with disallow are intense as hell at the task. Where as I can go there with AA and have all players and npcs chopped down in the matter of seconds.. yeay fun confused.gif

I wouldn't mind AA, but most drive bys result in the first person out the car.. Thats why i quite like playing v noobs, they don't have the sense to bail out ha ha So good car shoot outs smile.gif

I would say for your team modes, AA is pretty essencial, especially if your for doing it fast. But against players.. disallow all the way biggrin.gif

Try playing aa off on PC, if you manage to kick ass, PS3 AA off won't be a problem for you.

Its not even about 'skill level' (if there is a skill level with AA, i only see people using cover all the time to get target up first..) Its about generally having fun, and having good shootouts. 1 person can destroy 5+ people in seconds with AA.. not fun for the person doing it (i should know..) and not fun to the people wanting to drive about etc.

If more people were actually like us forumers, there would be a hell of a lot more decent and fun games going on, but nope, typical grinding noobs

Only way how you'll get better is by practicing, and remember, if your against good shooters, its as though they have AA on happy.gif

Way i practised was doing HM with disallow. Gets you good at going for the headshots, and making sure people are actually dead.. lol

I just don't see how people can enjoy a targetting system v players. Imagine what Ghost Recon would've been like if it had AA (used that as an example since its 3rd person.)

What about driving games? Next people are gonna want cruise control and the likes..

Leave AA v the comp, at the most.. It helps at the beggining of your GTA gaming life, but at the end, you just want fun, not fast killing to level up.

Double_Deagle
AA On, don't like it on, change it at your controller setting. Then see how long U survive compared to someone using AA on. moto_whistle.gif

Nobody actually said that the manual aim can beat the terribly fast AI aim. Actually it probably cant. The point Bruce is tryng to make, is that AAon seems to be favoured by the lazy. There is just no variety in it. Tap, aim up, tap...repreat and repeat. AA off brought us the stevwalk and many people with close to ridiculous aim precision. Thats where I tip my hat. notify.gificon14.gif

Even though I bet stev150 in his best shape would still go out on top of the table with his AA set to off in an allow game! biggrin.gif

yes it requires zero skill...which is why after every dm or team dm all scores are tied...idiot.

AA has no skill in comparison to Disallow is what he ment.

It's like what Superjude once said "AutoAim is like training wheels, at some point they have to come off"

and he's right. If you still rely on the game to hold up your gun and show you where to aim it, then your either a little kid or your the type of gamer who never goes to the next level. seriously... grow some balls.

----LOL @ all you "AUTOBOTS"----

Yeah exactly. I can't understand how any high level will only use AA, it defies the principal of playing the game and being good.

Its like buying a new game, start of on easy/medium, but complete it once, time to move up to the next level.

Some guys turn round and say 'but I'm good at AA..' my response 'so is everyone..'
