Installed it, finished the first mission and I'm stuck at the second mission. Jesus christ I shouldn't have f*cking chosen the hardest difficulty. K&L1 was more than playable on the hardest setting... but this one ain't.

 

f*cking dogs, f*cking useless SMG's. Luckily I can pick up the revolvers/shotguns else I wouldn't stand a f*cking chance.

 

Game is much improved and the 'intro' had some 'what the f*ck?' value in it. Can't wait to actually finish the story and head online.

Yeah I got stuck on the second mission for awhile. It's not that the game is that hard as much as the lower end weapons are sh*tty when the player uses them and seem to be awesome when the AI uses them. That and the still broken cover system. I had more success charging forward and firing from the hip than I did using cover.

Glad they fixed some of the issues with Fragile Alliance from the first game. Still, I feel like the levels are much more linear this time, and harder to set up good ambush spots like the first game.

 

Unfortunately I have sh*tty internet service here and can't play online, so the Arcade mode is much appreciated. I thought the campaign was pretty crap, naked level aside.

 

Also, small complaint, but I wish they kept the balaclavas for FA like in the first game. I don't know why they made all the robbers middle aged loser types. Also, launching with DLC is such a f*cking sh*tty thing to do.

I noticed that all the robbers were weirdos! I found it quite funny. I was thinking that may have just been for the demo. Guess that's not the case.

Got past the mission and the rest is going better. Didn't cave in, just keep on going on 'Insane' or whatever the hardest difficulty level is called in the game. Also you just need to use the fire extinguishers alot in that level. Works like a breeze once you also get the hang of where these gooks come from.

 

And yes, for some reason the cover system worked perfectly in the demo (in my opinion) but has alot more glitches in the final product. Alot of times you're still exposed to the enmy eventhough you're hiding in cover. Ain't using cover anymore... atleast the shooting mechanics work great.

 

Loving it so far... hope the MP lagg is gone else this might have not been worth the full price.

Mine came a day late. f*cking asshole postmen.

 

I dont know what people are on about the game being in any way bad. It is AWESOME. Co-op ftw. And its just own.

 

I love Fragile alliance, but I tried undercover cop and cops and robbers and hated them.

 

The game wasnt designed for shooting other human players, so it never works right. Plus I HATE games that you have to sink a billion rounds into one person just to kill them, and even then they dont die. Which is my main problem with shooting other players, and why I prefer to play it in more of a co-op style against AI.

 

Also there is no way to play even a player match with just 2 people. And you cant make the time or rounds more than +1 than the default. Which is stupid. If you dont get any score or achievements for player matches why not let us just play it how we want.

 

I dont like the weapons purchasing at all. In the first game it was fine as you only had 3 options.

 

In this its like making a COD style kit loadout in the space it takes for a game timer to tick down. I REALLY wish I could be able to rank up and unlock the ability to start with at least a different choice of guns. As some are just so inaccurate.

 

But pretty much, like the game alot.

 

The whole multiplayer mask thing is abit pointless too. I wanted the skull one and its just randomized, which is lame. I always end up as the fat one.

Lucky you you get to wear the masks... and I alreayd figured/expected it to be randomised. I'm also further in the campaign and I don't see what's so bad about the story up to now. There are games out there with alot worse plots so yeah.

 

The chapter where you have to 'stumble' your way to Kane and 'save' him when you both are stripped and totally cut up... finding Xiu is pretty f*cked up. I love how they actually added such a thing. Also makes me wonder why there hasn't been any outrage about this part yet.

 

Played some Arcade mode (Fragile Allience) and I f*cking love it. Wish online play would go as smooth... but I haven't played it yet and not planning to jump right into it because I'm afraid I'd be totally disappointed.

 

I thought the Limited Edition gave you the masks and a couple of early unlock weapons or something? (SCAR/UMP Suppressed/AK47/MAC10 Suppressed/...). I can't pick them and I ain't wearing any of the masks.

I finished off the last mission last night.

 

I really like it, as Airports are a high favourite of mine for maps, and areas in games to hang around in, very unique locations and objects. The only thing I thought was stupid was the fact that at the very end of the game, you just piss off. On a plane. Which seems unrealistic to the fact, how would you be allowed to get away on a plane with guns in this day and age, and that the police would still be looking for them and they wouldnt be able to just land and strole out. Not even an end level bad guy, the last thing you kill in the game is a f*cking dog. I guess thats why they called it dog days, and the last mission achievement has a dog on it. But I guess they want to make more games.

 

But I really dont see why people dont like the story. I would say its not as awesome as the first game's was, as that had very unique levels and all different agendas on each. But I feel that this time it has more atmosphere, and it may have similar level objectives as " just shoot everyone ", I like doing that, and didnt get bored with it, because the shooting is so fun and the guns are awesome to play with. I just wish that all multiplayer guns were in the singleplayer also.

 

It also would have been nice to play arcade mode in co-op. With a mate. So you dont have to deal with assholes.

 

I was also abit pissed that they added an achievement to get the worst loyalty rank. Which means now, I have to be a complete dickhead to people and teamkill and get loads of penalties.

 

And thats not how I want to play it.

Agree with you Daz... though I liked the whole approach they did when dealing with the Chinese mob boss... just the Lynch way and shooting the f*cker. And I have to admit the story was a bit on the long side (they extended some of the shootouts a bit too long to 'just' make it longer). But then again it went well with the levels they had... it made sense.

 

Find it also pretty lame how there is yet content still locked in the the game that you need to pay for. How f*cking lame is that?!

The game is very enjoyable, despite it's flaws. f*ck off with a 1/10, that's just being a cocknozzle.

 

Once you unlocked that scoped rifle in FA, it's pretty much game over. Headshotting cops from across the map. I love the pistols too, it's a lot of fun to just run up on a cop and just gun him down without sighting in.

 

Unlike Daz, I love being a traitor. Nothing quite as awesome as throwing a gas can into a crowded area and killing half your team, then systematically hunting down any survivors so you can get the full 4 million.

 

Thats how you beat 'em, just leave 'em behind.

Yeah this is really sh*t. Considering we could have 3 extra maps to play with and one of the flaws some of the reviewers mentioned was lack of maps, and weapons.

 

Though if you play in arcade mode, you can often see team mates using unique and even DLC only, weapons. For example This Gun, is even in the airport map, so how is that legit dlc when its already in the game. I badly want that silenced UMP and TT33.

 

Those reviews were all bullsh*t. The gametrailers one was decent which gave it an 8.1. The thing is, the story is good enough, but not something to totally get into, or take as the main part of the game. Arcade mode is REALLY fun, I was surprised how long I spent playing it. The simple fact of knowing your teammates wont teamkill you is just the best, and you can relax and just shoot the AI. Online has some value too. And good intensity especially when you are trying to do something, like kill everyone as the cop.

 

Tonight I have been doing undercover cop, trying to get those 2 achievements, and I did both but they didnt unlock, it may have been as the player count dropped from 4 to 3. But f*ck knows. After doing that, and killing and traitoring to get my loyalty down. I have starting feeling all evil in real life. Im scared that when I go to work on monday I might grab someone by the neck and elbow them in the head.

too bad it too short,i beat the game with my friend for 3 hour 21 minute in normal mode

graphic is great,voice actor was awesome(i always laugh a lot when i heard Lynch screaming f*ck,bitch,...)

talk about gameplay,it good enough,cover system base on Gear Of war,shooting is realistic.i don't blame AI of enemy is bad because it real too.and just like the first game,this game have a lot of fun.

some bad thing is:the game lose some fun features in the first game(quick time event,melee combat,stealth,...)and the story is kinda meaningless.

story was simple to understand: Lynch invite Kane to help him in one mission,but the mission going nowhere, and all of Shanghai want to kill them and now they have to find a way to escape.

i don't want to spoil the ending,but the ending was complete meaningless,just 10 sec and you got a credit appear,even don't need to play the whole game i can know the ending.But i think K&L3 will happen someday(if Edios still interest)

i don't know why the sh*t IGN said the game is hard to control,but it normal to me.this game should get 8 score

For once I can say I dont agree at all with this, total overreaction.

 

Its like complaining about an NFL videogame because all you can do is play football.

 

 

I did agree with the stupid glare lines from lights, and also with the helicopter level and how stupid the last level was where as I have said previously is stupid that the last kill you get is on a dog, and it just ends dead. I didnt give a f*ck about the story, as to be honest its just an excuse and backdrop to go certain places and progress the game otherwise you would just be some twats that like to shoot people. I couldnt care less if they were trying to find their f*cking carkeys in china.

 

But other than that I am glad it made its own theme and style. It may get abit samey but f*ck it you know. I like shooters and I loved this. Totally my style of game, way more me, than anything else that came out this year, except BFBC2 obviously.

I was really looking forward to this game. After playing the demo I was a little put off. Same with Mafia II. Really anticipating the game until the demo.

 

I love the gritty look of Kane & Lynch. They look like real people. You know, not cheesy squared jawed f*ckers with shiny white teeth. The amateur camera work style is interesting as it kind of gives a sense of realism. (as in a video of something crazy you'd find in the internet and it's just lucky someone caught it.)

 

After playing Mafia II, I really want to play more duck and cover games. I think I'll buy this game. Maybe second hand. If anyone can recommend me another good duck and cover shooter I'd be grateful. Preferably one where humans kill humans and not futuristic.

I wish I could help you there. I'd recommend Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, but only for story. If you play on Morphine difficulty, the duck and cover aspect actually is there.

 

The demo for me actually brought hope, as I finally saw improvement from the original, that Edios promised. The early trailer made me instantly not want this game anymore, as it looked exactly liked the first, with some shaky effects. But when I played the demo, I finally got what I wanted; a gritty experience.

Yeah, they f*cked up max payne big time, and they will f*ck up this.

 

They dont give a sh*t about the style of the series they just want to piggyback a unique idea for the monies, as usual.

 

The sheer fact of who they chose indicates that it will be some highly advertised all talk and no show peice of sh*t. No way to really know but its highly f*cking likely.

 

 

Btw they patched this it seems. I managed to get my glitched achievement on the next win. So I have 1000/1000.

Don't know how Jamie Foxx can act as Lynch when he gona get mad. This are the characteristics of Lynch that made him to be so unique compare with other game-charaters; bold with long hair on sides, ice-cold killa behaviour with glasses.

 

Even Jamie Foxx bold and with glasses and I will not be as Lynch origins. He doesn't have the structure face and body as Lynch. I'm imagine that he will be dressed in tracksuit companioning Bruce Wills suit.

Finally bought this game. I love it so far except for a few minor things. The dark, gritty feel is amazing. I'm playing it on Hard and some parts are hard. The enemy AI has good targeting.

 

I tried going online but I haven't seen anyone on there yet. Does anyone play this game?

 

I wish there were more dark, gritty games like this with ugly characters and no, supernatural or sci-fi elements.

I also played this game not so long ago and it seems that there isn't much activity online. As a whole I didn't find this game very appealing. The dark story and certain scenes were pretty good, but somehow this game was a letdown for me. It was too straightforward and short. Although the developers have made the gameplay much smoother than in the first game it still felt like it was throwback to the earlier days of the current console generation. Also the missions weren't as wild and over the top as in first game. Though I got my money's worth, but that's only because I didn't pay much for it.
