ikt
Hello I patched the game with patch 5. I don't like it. Am i able to patch it back to patch 4? Will all mods work again? mkey82
You need to look at which files were modified. By comparing the previous patches only the 1.0.4.0 could be reverted back to 10.3.0. Judging by the file size difference, I don't think you can. n00bmaster
I went from Patch 5 back to 4 but, i can't see any buttons in the Pause/Main Menu/ anything. I just press enter when the game starts and play without using the pause menu. other than that, it works fine for me. mkey82
OK, you can't do it. I mean, you can, but it will not work. I extracted both patches (4th and 5th) and compared the two folders. There is a total of some 700 new files in the 5th patch that are not present in the 4th. List of files here http://pastebin.com/d5a901c2d GTAIV_TU5\$0\pc\textures\fonts_j.wtdGTAIV_TU5\$0\pc\textures\fonts_r.wtd These two are probably the reason why you may have missing items in the menu. sjaak327
Nah, just simply reinstall the game, and update to 1.0.4.0, and you're good, sure beats trying to find changed files and restore them You could have done it (supposedly) by saving the log file that is created when you ran the last patch, and restore those files only, but I'm guessing a reinstall will be quicker and less hassle. mkey82
You wouldn't have to log anything, the list I posted above is comprehensive. Of course, reinstalling is the way to go.
