CALLing for orbiting help

Try to keep circling. It's harder to hit a moving target. If you think they might still hit you, going down is faster than going up so that's what I try. Sometimes they get the rotors though. Hate those rammers. I am still learning, need to get better.

First of, try to stay at the same altitude as him, when he's approaching. If you elevate above him to try and get a height advantage, he'll have to aim up, which makes him gain a lot of height, usually ending up above you, so instead of having a height advantage, you'll have a height disadvantage!

Second, try banking slowly. Push the stick a bit to the right or left (depending on your preferred bumperbutton, if you have one) and keep your aim on him. When he's getting in range, try to lead your shot. You're moving away from him, banking in the opposite direction he's moving so there's a bit of speed difference. Practice this slowly banking and flying backwards while aiming precisely. Because he's moving so fast, it will be harder for him to keep his aim steady.

If you find that he stays in range for too long (which is very annoying because most of the time you'll both end up on fire), try this tactic:

Rush towards him while he's approaching you and pass underneath him without aiming at him. He'll aim at you, pulling down, preserving or even increasing his speed forward. Pull up after you passed him (you'll gain height fast) and turn around quickly. If done right, you should end up with a height advantage and he'll have lost his speed.

Double_Deagle

LOL

D12 has a whole forum with TW tactics, even regarding specific turf sets in the parts of the city based on the numbers of players in action! lol.gif

But you're probably right. GTA would become a whole new game if I was only able to handle te damn chopper properly! I think it's just not my thing to practice and work on something that seems impossible to me. I tried it for like two hours and all I got was ONE circle strafe that lasted for like 5 secs, then I lost it again and wasnt able to redo it and gave up! suicidal.gifph34r.gif

This is actually a good option as well. Most of the times I use it if I see that we're both gonna end up hovering in front of each other. I show it in this video around the 1:40 mark. This is against a Buzzard, but it works better against another Annihilator. The reason I got hit by his rocket is because the Buzzard is really agile and can turn around faster than an Annihilator.
