DELETEDUSER
For your information i wont leave a 10 player mode cause of one modder. And secondly not all modders can be kicked, when u select their name in phone, it puts u back in main menu... I payed 40€ for this game AND I WANT A CHEAT-FREE mp without MYSELF having to adapt to some modders. They mod not me, so why should i leave? I payed 40€ for this game AND I WANT A CHEAT-FREE mp without MYSELF having to adapt to some modders. They mod not me, so why should i leave? Free mode by definition is cheat free, there is no cheating going on in free mode, there is nothing to gain. It seems after all this time, some people still don't understand that simple fact. Now as your desire to have a mod free game, start your own match with private slots, and it should be fine. Or go to any of the non free/party modes and have a mod free game there, I'm sure it will be fairly easy, then let the kids have some fun in free/party, as long as they don't drop 20 tugs on your ass, I don't see any problems, surely you can stand some people building a ramp to have some fun in PARTY mode ? You seem to forget that you're not the only one that paid €40 for this game (I actually paid €50, does that give me more rights... ?).
DELETEDUSER
FREE MODE doesnt mean Free-to crash your game or free to UZI RPG mode. It means free to raom WITHIN LIMITS OF UNMODDED GAME. And are too immature to speak normal? Send a letter about your problem to R*/T2 And btw, you are not the only one. GTA4 is so easy to make scripts. And guess who made the game. viometrix
lets run a hypothetical situation...what if this game was like unreal, crysis or anotther game that actually encourages mods and holds contests of who comes out with the best.... would you all be whining and bitching then? now those other games do have dedicated servers to select what mods work and what not, and have anti cheat, but still, this game can be modded and people will no matter how much you bitch. you cant control other people, so start a f*cking private match if you dont want mods and invite all your vanilla friends. no one likes a cry baby. viometrix
i use trainers galore!!! but you know something, i hate people crashing servers as much as you...but i hate whiney cry babies even more. yes i use them online, but like i suggested to you all, when i play online i create private matches that my friends can join by invite only (they use mods too). i do it for one reason, you hate modders joining in and ruining your game, i hate non modders joining into my games and calling me names over it. otherwise i play lan games. so yes i use mods, but unlike other modders, and nonmodders like you, i have an ounce of intelligence to find a way to avoid all these hassles. little bit of private game goes a long way my friend. I personally just want everyone to enjoy the game the way they see fit, as long as it doesnt hurt someone elses enjoyment at the same time. ****and before i get attacked, the ounce of intelligence comment was not put anyone down or call them stupid, and was not directed at any one person or people.**** Edited November 24, 2009 by viometrix
SWEETSAPRIK
Viometrix i bet you use trainers online... easy for you to say. I have used trainers online, but never in any matches that weren't free mode, and even then they were private matches where everyone else was using them too. I don't see why it would bother you what I do, when it's impossible for what I'm doing to effect you in any way. Moreover I don't see why you'd think I'd care what you think, seeing as we'll never come across one another in game. PяopagaиdaIиc.

Last week I was testing my trainer, by creating a free match, but to save some time, I'm not adjusting any settings, just go straight in. After a while other people join LOL, such fun, some people go like: OMG ! you have mods, others like, can you spawn me a turismo ? and then there's the annoying people who go like: cheater ! Mfck !, I go like, hmm this is free mode, cannot cheat in free mode, then they go like f*ck you , start messing with me, like shooting rpg's in rapid succession, I always wonder why they take so long to figure out that the car is on godmode, as it survived 4 rpg's attack, chances are it will survive the other 40 as well Then when I get bored with them, I simply kick them, or leave and start another match. WTFX
R* should maybe make another free mode called cheat mode. and allow cheating there, protect elsewhere. too bad, that'll never happen. i admire the devs who have tried their best to protect their trainers/hooks etc. to only work in sp or sp & free mode, I really do. it's so wrong, some a**hole goes and hexes it to allow cheats everywhere and shares it w/ kiddies who are glad to ruin the game for everyone else. supermortalhuman
Simple answer: Next time there is an update, people who make trainers should make a routine that senses if itself has been edited and delete system files if someone tries to run a trainer that has been edited. Or, you know, just make it not work.
sjaak327
Simple answer: Next time there is an update, people who make trainers should make a routine that senses if itself has been edited and delete system files if someone tries to run a trainer that has been edited. Or, you know, just make it not work. In theory this is a good idea, however, that's just what Rockstar has been doing, and we all know how soon the magic patcher or whatever it was called came out. I think it took like 3 days to circumvent that. Not sure about deleting system files either, someone could maybe sue Even though I like the idea. viometrix
they cant sue under one condition, its called a disclaimer " Use at your own risk" back in the 90's i used to write bots for a visual chatroom excite had called virtual places. these bots could boot people, crash their computers, lag them into next week, etc. i stupidly shared my personal version that could boot even hosts and admin with someone, and even though the that version was tied to the harddrives serial #, someone circumvented it. they didnt bother to realise i put a call back that when i sent the signal it not only deleted the program, but 4 files from windows 98 making it inoperable. well i got sued, not by 1 person, but 5...and i won because right on the gui i put use at your own risk, this may damage your system. damn i am now missing my days with VB and C+
lavrentis
I went onto Free Mode yesterday and normally I don't mind mods on there. But I was in Star Junction and all of a sudden the whole floor area went black and I ran to get off the black surface and at the end and it was lifted up. But when I went off I got GTA4 FATAL ERROR. The Helicopter that was flying just before that was orange as well instead of black.
viometrix
man where do these kids get off? i was in free mode last night, using mods but not bothering a single person, i actually spawned a boat and attacthed platforms and ramps to it and around it and had my own private island way way out in the ocean. spawned a car and motorcycle to do some stunts. people chatting said someone was spawning tugs then crash. wtf? we get mods back and you f*cking retards ruin the game for everyone. modders and regs can play on the same freemode in peace. its you asshole kids with sh*tty parents for letting you have a game like this in the first place that are ruining it for everyone. but the only problem with complaining here is the people doing it probably dont read this sh*t. Grow the f*ck up.
OutOfTimer
I agree with viometrix that some people think it's fun to destroy someone else's game. But there's more to it, however. Then there's the annoying people who go like: cheater ! Mfck !, I go like, hmm this is free mode, cannot cheat in free mode, then they go like f*ck you , start messing with me, like shooting rpg's in rapid succession, I always wonder why they take so long to figure out that the car is on godmode, as it survived 4 rpg's attack, chances are it will survive the other 40 as well. Then when I get bored with them, I simply kick them, or leave and start another match. This scenario is interesting to me because such situations are the primary reason why sjaak327 calls me irresponsible. I always try to help others and do as much as I can for the community. However, I don't have as much patience as he does and when somebody starts insulting me and shooting RPGs for no reason... I get f*ucking furious. That moron has to leave the game. And if for some reason it's impossible to make them leave... the whole server leaves with them. I should mention I try to follow sjaak327's advice and work on controlling myself. ikt
You should try counter-cheating. Too bad there isn't such thing for IV like m0d_s0beit. The only way to get rid of cheaters who ruin peoples experiences is to ruin their fun.
OutOfTimer
Now stop saying FREE means CHEAT-FREE. I am a free person, and I don't kill people cause I am free... This comparison is wrong on so many levels. You are not allowed to kill people. However, it's possible to do it nevertheless, in which case you will be imprisoned and a*ss raped by your fellow inmates as a punishement. I am not allowed to use mods in multiplayer. However, I am free to use them nevertheless and Micro$oft is free to suck my dick. Edited November 25, 2009 by OutOfTimer
Zotak
Today I kicked a cheater from a team deathmatch, he actually claimed he wasn't but was "only using an undestructible helicopter", he got so mad at me haha. It was on request of the other players though. On free mode is total madness out there, and add to that a nerd with a high pichted voice yelling on the microphone, jeez
