I need help with base jumping.

Recommended Posts

I just recently got the parachute, having just done Yusuf's mission to unlock it.

So there's this base jump in East Island City, up in Dukes, right? One of only three on that island of the city.

It's a target jump from skyscraper. And the target is extremely far away.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get ANYWHERE CLOSE to the target. Clearly there's something about base-jumping controls/maneuvers/etc that the game has not bothered to tell me.

I pull the chute as soon it'll let me once I jump, and I brake with RT and LT all the way down to get myself to descend as slowly as possible, but it makes no difference -- I'm still like a freaking mile from the target on the ground, way off in the distance. I usually land on the elevated wooden train tracks that's only like a block or two from the skyscraper.

What the hell do I need to do? How can I make Luis cover VASTLY more distance and fall more slowly, at the same time? Because apparently I have to do both somehow to get anywhere near that damn target.

Hold down on the analog stick ( I think the left one...just try both) that lets you travel down at a slower rate of speed and go a further distance and pushing up on the same stick makes you go down faster and go for a shorter distance. the LT and RT brakes make you desend slower but almost straight down. Try that and report back. I hope it made sense. monocle.gif

Yeah, I just had to pull back on the analog stick. Somehow that didn't occur to me, and the game doesn't explicitly inform you of it.

Thanks, man.
