Raavi
Blood Dragon, ugh. Not my thing at all.. An alien invasion or al out war (not cyborg) would be much more interesting but that's just my opinion. I do love the late 80's early 90's art though it's nostalgic. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise

Abel.
I still don't believe that this is a real game. looks more like an acid trip. Guessing you never saw Heavy Metal, then. The whole film is basically an acid trip. To be honest, I really am thankful that Ubi's releasing a real expansion pack for FC3, given that the market is saturated with half-arsed DLCs which add little to games. Daz
I still don't believe that this is a real game. looks more like an acid trip. It is just basically Terminator/Tron. Don't let the visuals fool you. I always love it when developers take a game and just overhaul the theme to something more interesting. Like the Vietnam DLC for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Shame that wasn't a stand alone game like this was. I think it is a much better idea, set it apart from the full retail game, it can then allow more people to enjoy it. Many people might have been put off by Far Cry 3, or simply just don't like the time involved with a large game like that. With Blood Dragon, it cuts away all the other bullsh*t and you just get straight down to gameplay without any stupid pointless pissing about to extend the life of the game. The sh*t really needs it's own topic, because it is the best creative development in gaming since Mirror's Edge.
Original Light
Does anyone know how to get this relic? X:719.8 Y:750.1 I go underwater through the tunnel, get in a room, and there's no place to climb up and get out of the water. Above the underground area (while on land) there's metal bars blocking it. There's nothing to blow up, like some of the other relic locations. Can someone help me out? Edit: Never mind, there was another tunnel. Edited April 15, 2013 by Original Light

CryptReaperDorian
Speaking of relics. How to unlock those doors that has like something on the doors that resembles a circle? C4. There's one of those relics behind one of those "destroyable doors" I believe just east of Citra's Temple (it's a temple ruin of some sort itself). However, I didn't even waste explosives on that one. I just hugged the left corner of the temple ruins after jumping up onto the ledge (right by the door), and I jumped around it. It's one of those platforming things you sometimes do in Bethesda games to get somewhere in an alternate way (which probably wasn't intended by the developers). I'm talking about the Spider 7 relic. Secura
Yeah, the following contains a tonne of potential spoilers, read on at your own risk: If you choose to save your friends Citra will become distressed and try to convince Jason to stay o on the island with her, midway through this Dennis appears and asks Jason how he could so easily deny Citra's love and runs at it him with a knife. Unfortunately for her and due to Jason's increased survivability while he's been on the island Jason grabs her and uses her as a human shield to protect himself from Dennis' blade. The game ends with Citra falling to floor asking Jason to love her, in her dying moments Jason looks into her eyes and simply says "I'm sorry" and then gets up and walks away, as he leaves he sees Dennis kneel down beside Citra's lifeless body and he begins to beg her for forgiveness. Fast forward a little while through the ending cutscene and the camera starts to pan over the island. It reaches the end of its journey stopping at the side of a beach watching a lone boat crawl out to the sea. When this happens Jason starts speaking again stating that "I've killed so many people I've lost count, I can't come back from this, I'm a monster. I can, feel the anger inside me! But I am, still somewhere inside me more than that, better than that.". Insert Credits. Personally I prefer this ending over the one where you join Citra, but it's all up to personal preference I suppose. Chukkles
For someone who hasn't played FC3 does this show it off enough to make someone want to play it? Or does it mainly use completely different mechanics and features? Played part of the demo and going to buy full game now. Love the 80s style and humour. Ahh sh*t this supposed to be in blood dragon topic, sorry. Edited May 4, 2013 by Chukkles

StateofMind15
I picked this up along with Just Cause 2 for PC a couple of days ago and this game was one of the best open world shooters I've ever played. jamieleng
Was kind of disappointed both islands are very similar to one another. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I reached Hoyt's island, but it's one aspect of the game that wasn't improved on from FC2. I was wondering why people were asking for a 'Dinosaur Island' type dlc, which is a pretty good idea, even if it's just a drug induced dream (in keeping with the other drug induced dreams in the main story). I heard an npc talking about an island of dinosaurs, which is an obvious reference to Jurassic Park. Seeing as 'Blood Dragon' has giant lizards that shoot frickin laser beams, it shouldn't be too difficult to implement (even for modders).

I just got on the Saving Oliver mission. There are 38 in total. You're half way or so. jamieleng
Thanks. EDIT: 6/22/13 just got to the part where you find out that Riley is dead Have you made sure you are taking those pills (there's a little sign that says 'EAT ME') in the cave where the boat your friends are fixing up? They give you interactive flashbacks & a little backstory. There is a new one after every mission that ends with you in the cave, usually after saving one of your friends (it's really easy to miss). DerangedCrackhead
Sorry for the almost four year bump but I would like to ask if anyone here has any experience with modding this game. I never liked the way the enemies are depicted in this game. Uniforms are too flamboyant, with a predominance of red and yellow colors that make absolutely no sense and and completely break the atmosphere of the game in my opinion. Recently, I played FC2 and must say that it was a whole new story in every aspect, the one here concerned in particular: enemies blend with the enviroment. I must say that, unlike the common opinion, I really enjoyed it but that's another story. Now, I've pick FC3 again so I am intereted in editing the textures of the uniforms of the npcs so they match a little better what you'd expect from a bunch of pirates and mercenaries in a lost island in the butthole of the world. The thing is that I am having serious problems finding any kind of tutorial or basic instructions about modding this game. I have no clue which files are the textures in or how to extract them. I've seen there a few mods that include edited textures from npcs and stuff around so that leads me to think that it's at least possible to do so. I would really appreciate if anyone around here knows something about it and could give me a little help with this stuff.
sivispacem
I ran Ziggy's Mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/farcry3/mods/63/?). It's basically a complete rebalance, including retextures of pirates and privateers, lots of extra weapon mods etc. Can't stand the game without it.
