What is your favorite thing to do?

I just play Squad Deathmatch but I might try out some Rush.

I'm the opposite, I don't really like Squad Deathmatch. Rush is really good though, conquest lies somewhere inbetween to me.

Yeah, on small as f*ck maps. I agree with Daz, if you're into CQB, you might aswell go back to CoD.

I hated the squad modes compared to Rush/Conquest. Played them only for the achievement.

Squad modes were full of campers and (because of small maps and camping) sh*ttons of spawnkillers.

 

Also pretty much every squad was three recons and one medic... or either three medics and one assault.

I too enjoy Squad Deathmatch. Sometimes you just need to kill some noobs and if you're good at it can be really satisfying. COD is just way too cartoony, linear and "omg sprint round the map as fast as possible noscope BOOM" for me; Squad Deathmatch is actually alot more tactical. I also like Conquest, since it is essentially the same as SQDM apart from the fact that it is double the amount of people and the squads need to kill to protect or capture a flag.

 

Squad Rush on the other hand sucks complete and utter horse cock.

 

 

@Fullmetal: I've played ALOT of squad deathmatch and usually getting spawnkilled is just very lucky. That or you're just playing a 16 player match on Isla Innocentes.. ugh.

Conquest really is where it's at, IMO. I just love the free-roaming ability of it.

 

That and I can hide behind the lines clearing up any messes rather than being on the front lines constantly. That's really how I play, let the idiots on my team constantly attack while I make sure the enemy don't take any of our flags, usually works well cause it's only one or two guys and I'm a badass.

Agreed, Rush is just too confined for my liking. Both defending and attacking is really redundant. Plus, I've played too much BF2 to play Rush, it wouldnt feel right not playing conquest.

Yeah so I started doing squad deathmatch but now I've move onto to other game mode but I don't understand why It's so bad to play SD. Yes the maps are smaller and the teams are too but that's what I started playing when I started playing Battlefield Bad Company 2.

Small maps? I'd say that pretty much 4.5/11 (less than half) of Conquest maps are really vehicle maps. The rest are much more infantry based. Heavy Metal, Atcama Desert, Port Valdez, and Harvest Day are all vehicle maps. I'd then say that Panama Canal is half vehicle and half infantry. I'd say my favorite "true" vehicle map is Harvest Day since the helicopters are really on steroids in this Battlefield game.

I've been playing Conquest Mode for about a week now and now I know what I was missing out on. It's brilliant and what makes it better is if your on with friends, I've been on with my cousin and it's really fun protecting the bases and attacking the bases. We always have tactics which makes it more fun.

 

Yes I wrong and for people who don't play conquest Mode you need to play that or you don't get the true Battlefield experience.

I've been getting kicked off of games, but it seems it only happens whenever I get a triple or quadruple kill from a anti-tank mine.

I got about three triple-kills yesterday in one game of SQDM. There was a squad cheaply attempting to stay in a tank the whole game, and I kept C4'ing it on my close quarters Recon dragsniping class.

Flynn? Is that the chopper pilot?

 

I wasn't really that bummed, but it was unfortunate how they went through all the effort to save him, only to be betrayed.

Need to get playing the MP more on this game. Been hard swapping from MW to BF, such as running up to someone and pressing the R stick to knife someone, only to realise it's the wrong button. Not that bad at the game though, and managed to get quite alot of kills the other day on a team with just me, against 3 other teams.

And BTW, absolutely loving this game now. The MP mode has so many cool little features, and nothing beats just driving around in a tank full of team mates. One thing though, how the f*ck do you control the helicopters? Everytime I get in one, I rise up, but then just end up tipping the helicopter over and blowing it up...which annoys alot of my team mates since they all hang around waiting for the chopper.

Some are in select locations. Most come from enemies, though. There are good guides on YouTube. I found them and I was only looking for gameplay. Watched them even though I'd done them when the game came out.

 

Helicopters are fun. The right analogue stick is key. Moving it up tilts the nose down, down raises the nose. Probably the most confusing part, unless you generally invert your controls. Left and right tilts in that direction. Left stick is general steering. Kind of do it without thinking now.

Yeah, it was the inverted controls that was making it difficult for me, but I've got the general grip of it now. I'm still crashing every now and then, but that's because I'm no good at multi-tasking, as in firing and flying, lol.

 

And I'll have to check YT out anyway since I think I'm missing a few of the MCOMM (or whatever they are) sites.
