I found what has to be the easiest way to level up the vehicle class. Took me about 2-3days or around 8-12hours.

Get with some friends, one being a good pilot and knows how to stay way from trouble just enough and another that guns. Get in the HIND. You get in the back and wrench. Heavy Metal map is good for this. The blackhawk can work as well but it's so big and harder for the gunner(s) to aim and hit their targets the helo will be getting shot up a lot.

Got all vehicle mods before I was a level 5 or there abouts. Only at lvl13 right now and about 3000 points from 14.

I really like flying the Huey in Vietnam but I'm ALWAYS getting shot down by tanks. It's so damn annoying I don't know how to avoid it because I don't see it coming.

Now I see the problem, you've spent almost 10 hours sniping.

That's the problem with this game, everyone wants to freakin snipe all the damn time. Snipers don't do jack but sit on their ass and wait for someone to stand still long enough to shoot at.

24 hours on kits, of which 10 hours on recon, and a 0.69 K/DR. What the hell do you do?

I use VSS SPECIAL with red dot so it's not realy SNIPING. And i haven't got the desfilibratores ( not sure how you say it ). I haven't played so much with medic because i'm letting it for later. Now no reason to hate on me right :>?

Anyway, I really need to get back into this. Unfortunatly my laptop cant run it and I'm only on my desktop every so often. I'll have to dedicate a couple of gaming sessions to it. Been playing BF2 actually.

It seems like at least half the time that I go recon my team suffers. Especially when I join a squad. I f*cking hate when I join a five man squad and three of them are recon a mile away from the front-line. Ultimately that's what kills the team.

I use the M24, SV98 and GOL at close-quarters with stock scope, because that is actually fun because its a challenge. And it doesn't always 1-hit-KO and often you can miss, in which case you have to whip out your pistol and finish the enemy off.

Problem with snipers is that they only help themselves and try and rack up loads of kills without helping the team, it's quite sad actually. Some kids think they are playing CoD or something.

I see where you guys are coming from. But a good recon, by killing loads of people, is essentially helping out the team.

 

Plus, when I play recon, I be spotting people all day long, and generally doing usefull sh*t.

Recon has it's place. When half the team is recon, that's when it's annoying. Not enough people play as engineers or medics, at least they don't play it right where they're healing and repairing and taking out vehicles. Especially that last part. It always seems like I'm the only one shooting rockets at tanks and choppers. And never underestimate the power of some good AT-mines.

I don't find the VSS too cheap. I use it more as a weapon I fire from the hip when in just about knifing distance of an enemy. Also, you'll run out of ammo extremely quick if don't have the specialization for extra ammo (which will make you sacrifice a red dot or ACOG) or an assault guy giving you ammo. Some may see as cheap in hardcore mode if Magnum Ammo is used due to it being able to kill with two shots. However, this doesn't seem too trustworthy as I've seen people survive with 1% to 5% many times (power drops at ranges). That makes me prefer a semi-automatic rifle with an ACOG, red dot, or iron sights.

 

Shotguns can be seen as cheap, but there's not many things more badass than countersniping a camping sniper with your 870MCS (slugs used).

 

I mostly play the Vietnam expansion as guns actually seem to have power (even though there is some balancing issues that weren't quite fixed). The XM22, M1A1 Thompson (Vietnam), and possibly the M60 now (Vietnam, didn't like it at first) are probably my favorite weapons currently. However, I do still like some weapons in the regular BC2. The AUG and M416 work pretty well with iron sights.

Oh it will take longer than you think. Unless you aim for gold stars and platinums regularly, it could take you anywhere above 350 hours.
