Just out of curiosity, how do you PC guys ever get anything done with all that typing?

It's something to do when you die and have to wait a couple of seconds to respawn.

At least you can interact with other people....

I have gotten my fair share of hatemail, I consider it a badge of honor that I am so good that people think I am cheating.

for the record though....shotguns are cheap.

lol darth!

It's better than hearing a 13 year old boy (who sounds like a girl) sing rap songs.

Definitely. Everybody f*cking uses them these days because they are piss easy to kill people with.

In those games I was either using the pp2000 or close-quarters GOL class.

Which is why BC2 is so great when you have a squad filled with your friends instead.

I f*cking love haters! Hatemail is my favorite, it makes me laugh when people call me a noob only for me to kill them several times in a row hahah!

I wish there were more haters who i could pick on, the best way is to have some friends and simply aim for the hater every single time until they get mad and quit AHAHAH!

I've got a better question. I know BC2 has VOIP but I have yet to come across a server that uses it, unless I'm doing something wrong. With BF2 they were all over the place.

I think the VOIP is broken or something. Mumble is being used as a substitute for the most part.

Luckily, though in the average game it doesn't seem like many people like to talk on XBL on BC2. Whenever I hear someone, they're usually barking orders, berating the team for sucking, or just talking jibberish. 9 times out of 10, there's silence.

Why do people say Black ops is better?

Because they haven't played Bad Company 2.

It's just a question of getting used to it, but I still am better with mouse & keyboard.

You mean auto-aim? And still not be able to actually turn around in less than 5 seconds?

Right. wink.gif

Why did you ask the question if you already know? Strange.

Anyway, auto-aim would suggest that if I hold down the left trigger, my aim will automatically find a target. It does not. Aim assist? Perhaps, but it isn't noticable. Don't know what console version you've been playing, but if it took you more than five seconds to turn round, you might want to turn the sensitivity up. wink.gif

Why do PC players always suggest that the consoles use aim assist in BC2 multiplayer? Even if there is aim assist, then it almost doesn't exist. I don't know about other people, but I find games to have much better controls on current consoles than the older consoles. This might be true for PC games also, but I wouldn't know due to my PC not being able to handle new games. All I really play on PC is Battlefield 1942 (including expansions) and Vietnam.

Oh, and it would probably take me five seconds to turn around on a PC game as I have to pick the mouse up and move it when it gets to the edge of the mouse pad.

To cite papanesta, you might wanna turn up the sensitivity then smile.gif .

That's true, but I don't think about it much. I really don't play many PC games, and I'm pretty sure I would end up further f*cking the sensitivity up for myself (especially if there's no "default" option to reset sensitivity). However, I always change "invert aim" options if they don't suit me. Seriously, why the hell do you want aim down when you scroll up? The only time I want something like this is when flying aircraft. Well, it's something I have to get more used to.

I don't understand that whole invert aim either. And about the sensitivity, it takes a lot of getting used to.

BC2's aim-assist is no where near as bad as CoD at least. Gamepad is hard to aim though.

Yeah, I can't really handle FPS games on a console. The control is just so sluggish. Perhaps I'm just out of practice?

It is sluggish compared to a mouse and keyboard. Though I actually prefer it to the lightning-quick response that you get with a mouse. That's not to say I prefer a joystick to a mouse (that would be insane); but I do think the default sensitivity for FPSs on PC is ridiculous. But, being the default, everyone uses it which means if I change the sensitivity to what I prefer, I'll be completely out-matched by everyone.

Not necessarily.

When I first starting playing FPS games with a mouse I had a hell of a time getting use it in general and I turned the sensitivity way down until I got a better handle on playing then I started turning it up more and more.

Been playing FPS games now for over 10yrs. Every game is different. Sure every game usually puts the sensitivity in the middle, let's say 5/10. Some games I play it for 5mins and I have to turn it down and other I have to turn up. Same computer specs in every way.

When I got a Logitech MX518, I think that's right, point being it has a controllable DPI build in. Using it at the default middle setting was fine, lowest was too damn slow of course but can make for some fine tuned aiming when the need arises, and all the way up was "HOLY HELL! That's too much" but in some games I have gotten use it and use it often.

One place having a higher than normal sensitivity/DPI is very useful, BC2 in a tank or helo gunner seat. You can swing that gun around super quick and get on target fast, which has saved my butt on more than one occasion. Then get out and back on foot I switch down a notch to normal.

You just have to learn. And maybe I'm just too old and too set in my ways, plus I've never owned a console in the past and I can't count the Wii that I have now because it's completely different, but I can't get use to looking/aiming with a gamepad at all for anything. I can work a joystick for a flight sim and I'm pretty damn good at it. Gamepads with their analog sticks are really just joysticks you work with your thumbs and that I can't do.

I had a enough issues back in the day at friends houses' playing NES or Sega with nothing but a D-pad and 4-6 buttons.

Man, there have been more than a few times in console games, when I'm under fire that I decide to try to make cover instead of turning around and firing, that would not happen if I were using a mouse. It take so long to turn around. With a mouse, it's less than a half second, with a controller, it's probably around a second. That's a big difference.

Anyway. I have leveled up all of my classes except recon. I would take the easy way out of that by just using a shotgun or one of the all class guns, but where's the fun in that?
