Hell No.. Posted November 13, 2009 Share Posted November 13, 2009 So I wake up this morning to find this: Acid. Someone tipped acid all over my car and it is stripping the paint. I then noticed that the f*cks have stolen my center caps for my wheels, as you can see in picture 4. Took it to the police station to have forensics etc done on it. Rang the insurance and turns out it they may decide they want to scrap it instead of paying out because it is an older car, the repair might be more than it's worth. Fair enough maybe if you want to steal my caps, but to tip acid all over my car as well? f*ck sake. I'm f*cked now, I have no money, and I'm trying to save for my daughter. Posted November 13, 2009 Author Share Posted November 13, 2009 (edited) As I was taking pictures earlier, I looked down the end of street and some lad strolled around the corner on the phone, saw me, and ran off back the other way. I chased after him but lost him. Then a woman across the street called me over to explain that he ran down the opposite street to where I went. She then described him exactly how I saw him, so I went back to the station to give them the details. Was just a bit too suspicious. It was like he was having a look for someone to see if the damage had been done. I don't know who would do it, or why. Edited November 13, 2009 by Hell No.. I'm just as mythed as anyone else here. Sounds like it'll be up to witnesses/police. There might have been similar incidents around your area which will give them a better idea of who it is. If I can park a Civic Type-R in a rough town and nobody touch it for 2.5 years then there's a lot to be said about why anyone would tip acid on an anonymous fiesta. Want my advice? Find a friend or relative with dry storage, strip back the paint and get some matte black rattle cans on it. Saves costing yourself a fortune with insurance or a professional respray and won't look too bad. Someome might be able to rescue it for £300. Probably wouldn't be a perfect job but will stop it rotting away and save you some £££. Bad luck anyway my friend. It wasn't long since someone burnt out a van outside my house at 3am becasue it belonged to an asian family who run a small shop across the road. If it is, the panels will need to be stripped and chemical dipped to remove all traces of it. I've seen it done to a new evo as well. Scum that do it. Thatd be a stupid move... youll never know how many are actually involved and whether they are armed or not. The best way to avoid such sh*t is to have a garage or a garden with a proper fence. Though I do realise that such a thing might be somewhat of a luxury if you live in a city like London, NY etc. Another option would be to get a gun... getting a real one would probably be a bit difficult in the UK Id imagine but even a proper airsoft can do plenty of damage. Plus, you could probably scare the sh*t out of them, which is sort of the whole point of owning a gun in my opinion (which is also why we have two rifles in the house. Oh yea, and hunting wild animals of course. ). Anyway, I hope you find the guys and they get what they deserve. I hope it all works out ok in the long run for you. Having your car f*cked up can just f*ck with your head. Believe me, even though my Camaro that was hit was an accident, I understand the pain and frustration. I know if some one just broke in to my car and stole a couple things (nothing to steal in mine but a sh*tty sub and amp set up) I'd want to hurt them physically. Seriously, I've got a bat right by the door, so if I ever see/hear some one f*cking with my car I'm running outside as fast as I can and they're getting hit with a bat, some how. Whether it be me swinging on them or throwing it at them. They're getting f*cked up and arrested. I'm not in the business of blaming other people for the actions of criminals. But let's be real here, the reason for a lot of English anti-social behaviour is based around people poor sense of self. They identify with rappers and stereotypical black people in crime movies. But, rather than do anything too ambitious, they merely adopt the speaking patterns and content themselves with breaking windows and - as this topic illustrates - vandalising cars. No genre of music is responsible, but we must acknowledge how vital it is in shaping their absurd persona. My sister's car was vandalized when she was living in an apartment complex in Nashville. They broke two or three windows, smashed up the dash, and stole the CD player. I know it might not help that much, but I guess they stole your hubcaps before spilling acid on your car, and that should've set it off, which could've distracted them. Do you have any guarded parking lots? Find one near your house and start parking it there. I still have no idea what would possess someone to spill acid on a car. @Desmosedici: hell yeah brah, show them Fiesta owners what's what, these roads were made for the MIGHTY FOCUS.
