OutOfTimer
Wish List #1: GTA IV 1) Anti-Aliasing Filter Anti-Aliasing is the ultimate dream of every GTA IV fan. Unfortunately, DirectX 9.0c doesn't allow simultaneous use of deferred lighting and AA. Unless DirectX 10 support is implemented, our dream will never come true. 2) Flashing Textures Texture pop-in and flickering are among the biggest problems with the game. 3) FPS and Stuttering Low or unstable frame rate often ruins our gaming experience. Further rendering optimisations are essential. 4) Game Instability, Crashes and Freezes Memory leaks must be fixed. Regularly occuring crashes and inablity to launch the game are among the most common complaints on the forum. 5) No DVD Why am I punished for buying an original copy of the game, whereas a friend who downloaded it from a torrent site is not? I still can't figure it out... 6) Simplified Installation Process and Regular Game Menu Remove on-line activation and make Games for Windows Live optional. The off-line Rockstar Social Club advertisement is ridicuolous. In addition, give as the ability to set custom map markers. 7) Enhanced Multiplayer Only ranked matches should be protected and in custom matches the host should be allowed to enable/disable mods. There should be an easily accessible chat for all users and support for clan tags. 8) Bugs A number of bugs is still present in the game. MP5 has no reload sound when crouching. Jeff (the random character) won't call you if the game is saved between his 1st and 2nd mission (remember you have to wait a few days between missions). Wish List #2: GTA V 1) Buildings with Interiors As soon as it's technically possible, we want to be able to enter every building. 2) Seasons Where's the real time factor in the game? 24 hour cycle is great but we want more. How about Christmas? 3) Destructible Environment We can damage cars and garbage cans... how about buildings? 4) Living City Apart from a higher number of random events in Liberty City, we want the city to remember. 5) Role-Playing and Talking to Pedestrians Give us the option to talk to people on the street (even if their responses would be very basic for now). Let us make more decisions and develop Niko the way we want. 6) Sitting and Holding Items Why can't we sit on a bench in Middle Park? How about holding an umbrella when it rains? Why can't we even pick up bags that pedestrians drop? 7) Improved AI Trains passing Algonquin Bridge create havoc among cars. There's police on every street corner and using the traffic density slider only spawns more. 8) Surround Sound Imagine being able to experience Liberty City in surround sound. OutOfTimer
My faith in R* has been restored. Patch 5 not only provided a number of welcome changes (like fixing Niko's missing motorcycle shadow), but also made it clear that we will get the DLC after all. I for one couldn't be happier. I'm sure there are more patches to come and can't wait for all the goodies R* prepared for us. I encourage everyone to post their suggestions concerning all the game improvements they long for. I assure you R* cares what their fans think. Edited November 30, 2009 by OutOfTimer

CharmingCharlie
OK I will be the one to make the first SERIOUS suggestion, it seems Rockstar are still struggling with those shadows. Naturally everyone knows that the shadows are now correct when Niko is riding a bike but ...... it seems they have f*cked up the car shadows at night :- As you can see the driver now casts a shadow but the car doesn't. This only seems to happen at night.
ShaZam508
As you can see the driver now casts a shadow but the car doesn't. This only seems to happen at night. O it happens in the day time too, Happen to me a couple of times.
corvettelover
5) Bugs and Missing Features A pile of unfixed bugs and missing game features is the best example of how unprofessional R*'s support for the PC version has really been. Draw distance should be increased to avoid missing drivers. Moon is missing even though its reflection can be seen in the water. Independence FM lacks support for WAVE files. There's no option skip tutorials in a new game. 6) Mission Progress you should add the "cars have no shadows at sundown, night and sun rise but people still have shadows so there are stupid floating people shadows sticking out of the damn cars" glitch to the list opps, charming charlie seems to have made the suggestion first, damn he beat me to it. lol Edited November 13, 2009 by corvettelover
supermortalhuman
1: Look at the ultimate graphics tweak, Rockstar. Now, implement it... it is buggy... do it right for us, it is incredible. http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=5691 2: Give us official modding tools, unsupported of course. Just give us the tools...
Extortionate
Why don't you just play the game and not look for issues? You can't seriously think that they're going to fix everyone of your bugs. The game is complex, so try to give them leeway when you see a little bug, otherwise you'll be asking for patch 10 next. I don't think Rockstar will go to the trouble of making the shadows look softer and how can they possibly get better quality shadows without a performance hit? I think some of you people take the piss sometimes, no wonder they like to develop for consoles.

Ash_735
8) Surround Sound 7.1 Imagine being able to experience Liberty City with sound like this! This REALLY isn't an issue as 5.1 is miles more popular than 7.1, 5.1 has actually become the standard for surround sound and that's what people want to expand to, 7.1 is sen as excessive and too much for the average person where as 5.1 is basic and gets the job done. Now, not only that, but I'd like to see GTA with ACTUAL 5.1 first, not this faux crap we got in GTA IV. Cutscene only contain a Left, Right and Center channel, just 3 channels, the game just plays ambient sounds through the rest during cutscenes. CharmingCharlie
Ok lets nip the "you must never criticise the game" committee in the bud before it gets out of hand. This topic specifically exists for people to post feedback on game issues and features that may not work as well as they should. If you come in here to post information about bugs you have found that does not make you a traitor to Rockstar and you should be burned at a stake. It shows you CARE about Rockstars creation and that you want it to be the best it can be and free from as many bugs as can be. Now for those that seem to think Rockstar don't like this criticism I have news for you. They always welcome constructive criticism and fault reports. They visit the wishlist and patch topics regularly to see what is going on and what needs fine tuning. It is thanks to the wishlist topic that the motorbike shadow was fixed, it is thanks to other topics that we got the clock working, the ticker tapes working and the missing objects returned. If people hadn't posted about these issues they would not have got fixed. I for one appreciate that people take the time to report as fully as they can any bugs or problems (no matter how insignificant). They just want to make GTA as good as it can be and Rockstar being the kind of company it is appreciates the feedback. It not only helps them on the PC platform but it helps them on the console platform too. After all it is no coincidence that the Vaseline Blur filter has been dropped from the 360 version after it was made an option on the PC. Now let's stop derailing this topic and get back to reporting issues that Rockstar need to look at and fix. Remember if you are reporting an issue be as thorough as you can be, if you can provide a screenshot of the issue that is plaguing you. The more information you post the more it helps everyone. OutOfTimer
I've analyzed the shadow problem and it seems to me that in order to make Niko cast a shadow when on a bike, R* programmer simply switched showing Niko's shadow in vehicles on. The guy forgot it should only include bikes, though. One way or another... this situation is truely ridiculous. I was so happy they fixed the bikes - but they also introduced an even larger problem. supermortalhuman
I guess the good thing we know is that the game, being 'built to last' obviously will have sequels like III did (prequels, whatever), and no doubt what they fix for this counts as fixed for the next games, so we can at least be sure that they were smart enough to take advantage of today's online console world as a way to maintain this game throughout the next ones because, again, after all, whatever they do to this game translates to the rest of "this generation's" gta games. I mean, one would assume.

StoOopiD
Just FIX the f*cking helocopter !!! The helo game pad controls are just absolutly retarded typical PS style controller setup left analog= banking right analog= throttle L1 = free look with left analog L2 = yaw left R1 = shoot R2 = yaw right triangle = enter/exit Or better yet. Add "in game" controller recognition and key binding Also Fix the Helocopter's weight/gravity, pendullum, and momentum effects Then make a multiplayer helo dogfighting mode And i also want to address the GFWL "home" key is keeping me from binding the "NUMPAD7" key. since the NUMPAD7 key is also a home key. Im a lefty so i use all the numpad keys and arrow keys
syrdax
Agree with the fact that we have to shout out the bugs and ask for minor improvements for the game, but come on, destructive environment? This ain't CoD4 or any other linear game where you won't come back to the place where you just brought down a building; imagine you C4ing stuff in Star Junction, what's next? Expect to see people working there fixing the stuff? You know how much more work would involve to implement on the game? Living city? I've been playing games since DOS and I didn't see yet a better city than Liberty City. You can see people reacting to things on the streets; people reacting to rain; people talking on phones, to eachother; reacting to what a preacher says; buildings that turn off the lights when is daytime, turning the lights on when it's night, wow man, it's already amazing how living this city is, what else you want? This city is the city to remember, I'm just waiting for the next game that will try to be like LC, because you know, there's always a first game that starts the "clone wars", and GTA 4 is the example will everybody want to follow. Role-playing and talking to pedestrians? You know that that will involve recording tons of lines again? You think that the guy that played Niko will want to go on record again, after saying he should have earn more money? And of course, then you have to code all that onto the game... I remember when I first heard Lazlow, I thought that maybe, you could actually see him on the streets as you hear him on the radio, but then I thought that that should be a hell of more work to do... Many people say R* don't give a crap about PC but then, after what, a year? they keep trying to get the game better, and that's my friend, something NO OTHER company has ever done. You then can tell me that "it's a bad port" yadayada; you have to realize that this is a very complex game, that has to deal with thousands of hardware/software configurations, and because of that, for some reasons, for some people, the game works just fine, as a matter of fact, last night I did the last mission and as always, I didn't have any problems to climb the helicopter. That proves that the game might not be as bad as many say it is, I don't say it's perfect, but is not just the game's fault, someday, people have to learn that they also have to check their hardware/software. So, as I said, I think is right for people to let the company know their issues, but come on, by now, everybody knows the game's mechanics, what can and can't be implemented, modded, etc. Edited November 13, 2009 by syrdax

Confucius44
I'm happy if they just fix what's broken. I never noticed a missing moon until it was pointed out here and I'm not too bothered about it, tbh. 1) Z-fighting bug on Radeon HD3600 series. Game looks terrible. Clearly they can't be bothered by this since this error has been pointed out since before patch 1. But I'll keep asking until it gets fixed. Or I buy a new gfx card. 2) Floating street decals. This is a new bug in patch 5. Various marking on the streets, like parking boundaries, cut through tires. Weird stuff.

Assassins Creed, The Sabatour Random events eg. mugging happening to others and you and you choose how to react Being able to perform mini crimes such as kidnapping, mugging, taking shops hostages (you know what i mean ) Bribing police on lower wanted levels so you dont lose weapons Parachutes, Garages, Car Mod Shops, Import/Export Missions More weapons, Place to store your weapons Easier to stealth ( police dont go towards you when no helecopter was near and when you sneak up behind an enemy they dont turn around and instantly spot you)
