Mr.D
I'm becoming more and more hopeful that the DLCs will arrive to the PC. What I do fell however is that they (R*) may choose to release both the episodes together as a single package instead of releasing them one by one like they did with the X360. That way they can charge a slightly higher price instead of the other case wherein people interested in a particular DLC will buy only that one which might cut revenues accordingly since the number of people interested in either episode is bound to be higher than the number of people interested in only one of them. No idea about DLCs for the PS3s though !!!

It was Microsoft that paid for that sh*t and M$ still owns Windows and PC's so why shouldn't they It has been said and proven many times before, MS doesn't care about PC as a gaming platform. They want you to use Windows on a PC for daily work/whatever and to game on a x360.

Look at it this way - they made Windows and x360 both. If you use your PC for work and game on it, they get nothing from the gaming. But if you buy the xbox, no only you have to pay for the unit, but also for every game you purchase, one part goes to MS. If you want the "gold" account on MS network, you also have to pay and yearly fees at that. If you want dlc, you pay for it, even if the publisher released it for free. There is nothing MS likes more then subscriptions and royalties.

HolyDiver
Came out febuary 2009 to Live -> Opens Everywhere March = MS had 1 year exclusive to their console DL service, we get it on PC in March. Because that's 1 year. Yay. So it is confirmed as a timed exclusive? Specifically 1 year? Link? Anyways, Christ I waited so long for a PC release of IV (from the very first rumours of IV even being in the works), months of it only being on consoles, months without a single word of a PC version. Now they "announce" the DLC through cryptic clues? If we have to wait til NEXT christmas, it wouldnt surprise me. If we have to wait til the second coming of Christ it wouldnt surprise me. If we have to wait until the arrival of Mecha-Christ it wouldnt surprise me. Also I just visited the TLAD website, and I couldnt see a single "exclusive to xbox 360" anywhere. Was it always like this? Also about that whole Microsoft viewing Windows as a competing platform- Do Microsoft not make any profit from PC games sales? I really have no idea how the system works, but can developers release Windows titles and not owe MS a dime of their sales? That seems bizarre to me. I realise there is much more money to be made by strengthening the Xboxes catalogue, therefore selling more systems, but is it not possible that the sales of the TLAD DLC have died out, and Microsoft have determined that they have milked that particular cow dry, and release it on PC since there are obviously still sales to be made from that market? If sales of IV and TLAD for the 360 have died out, which I'm sure they would have by now, then perhaps Microsoft can determine that the profit to be made off a PC TLAD would far outweigh the threat to the sales of Xbox consoles and titles that it would have posed if they saw a simultaneous release. Jimbatron
Also I just visited the TLAD website, and I couldnt see a single "exclusive to xbox 360" anywhere. Was it always like this? Here under "Game Information": http://www.rockstargames.com/thelostanddamned/index2.html Last paragraph it says "available exclusively on Xbox Live" Similar here: http://www.rockstargames.com/games#/game:26/ If they do things by the book, they'll need to remove this prior to announcing a PC release (if only by a matter of minutes). Of course, if they are a disorganised shambles, like many companies I work with, they may well forget to.

Eclusive to xbox was said about a tonne of xbox games, most end up on PC, the fact that achievements were added on windows live obviously means it will be out on PC, Exclusive to Xbox means CONSOLE exclusive, of which PC is not effected. Everytime a xbox game is released, console gamers say "But it says Xbox exclusive", lol, naive much?

FYI - I don't own an Xbox, I am on the PC, and I believe that it will see the DLC eventually. My point was R*'s websites still carry the Xbox exclusive strapline - it may prove to be an early indicator an official release date (that we've all been waiting for) is pending when they alter this. ImoonPeople
I just read this article at fudzilla about GFWL. I'll just Put the whole thing in this post. Microsoft didn't forget about PC owners Since Microsoft has already just recently added the digital distribution of Xbox 360 games via the Xbox Live service to the classic Xbox titles that they were already offering for digital sale, it comes as very little surprise that Microsoft will throw its hat into the ring of the PC digital distribution market space by selling titles via its Games for Windows Live market place. The move by Microsoft will put the company in direct competition with Steam from Valve, which is the dominant digital distribution platform for the PC at the moment. According to our sources, Microsoft is hopeful that the unique look and feel (when combined with the Games for Windows Live experience) will work in the company's favor and have customers choosing their service when purchasing PC game downloads. Some fear that Microsoft's move into this arena will spell the end of free add-on content for the PC versions of popular titles. Some think that Microsoft will start pushing developers toward a micro-transaction model for add-ons and additional content, as the company does with their Xbox Live Marketplace content. It is likely that Microsoft will at least test the concept of offering additional download content for sale once the initial rollout of the Game for Windows Live market place is completed. Our sources whisper that Microsoft will be offering Resident Evil 5, Red Faction: Guerrilla and Battlestations: Pacific as some of the high profile titles that will be available for digital download when the service will go live on December 15th. In addition, Microsoft has been working with developers to offer some unique Live-enabled versions of downloadable older titles, such as World of Goo and Osmos. The move by the company into the PC gaming digital distribution space should prove interesting. While the company has been working hard on their Games for Windows roadmap, the results so far have been mixed. Microsoft in many ways moved developers away from developing PC titles to developing for the original Xbox platform, only to have many developers abandon PC gaming development altogether; but lately, Microsoft has realized that gaming drove a lot of innovation on the PC platform and they need gaming development back for Windows. We are sure that many of the hardware manufacturers would love to see a resurgence of PC gaming, as it led to lots of sales of higher profit margin PC-related products. Hydro_PT
Wow that's some nice info Ruscris2. I didn't know Microsoft was going to launch a digital download service for GFWL. That's probably what is needed to download a DLC such as TLAD. I'm now looking forward for an announcement of the DLC coming to the PC near that date. Let's hope so. FullMetal
They finally realised that PC drove alot of innovations (if not all recent technological/software innovations) in gaming and by supporting the platform again they're going to support three rather small time (yeah, Resident Evil 5 is pretty small time in my honest opinion) on the platform... digital distributing them via GFWL? Goddamnit... f*cking hypocrites.
