OverTheBelow
Source? Besides the pic. They clearly wouldn't add the achievements to the PC version if they weren't going to release it on PC. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/artic...CVG-General-RSS
radioman
Are you guys aware that on the Episodes From Liberty City box that it says at the top "X-Box 360 Exclusive".? Also, after the bad port of the PC version of IV, it is not likely that they will create a DLC for IV on PC. To back up this statement, here are some facts, look at the PC versions of III, VC, and SA-III and VC had one patch, that became pretty much obsolete(as mentioned in the Pinned topic in the VC troubleshooting section posted by Wolf68k(a Mod)) and SA only had one patch that was obsolete with the release of V2 of the game, as the only thing the patch did is remove the Hot Coffee thing from V1 games-and thus does not work on V2-to my knowledge, as I cannot verify the info since I do not have V1 of the game. and these were all PS2 ports. Whereas IV had 4+ patches, and still does not work properly unless you have a High End ($2000+) PC-and that was an X-Box port. So, in my opinion, if they would have used the Playstation port again, it would have ran much better (as well as more than likely being able to run on Single core processors)-which is what most people have, with a lot less(or no) patches, considering the trek record from previous games. Also, to note that ALL previous PC GTA's will run on pretty much any Processor and Video Card-I know, because I use to play all 3 on a PC with a cheap VIA video card-with only 32MB VRAM. And yet IV will not run on an ATI Radeon card with 1407MB VRAM.? There's definately something fishy going on there, in my opinion. PS- Sorry for the rant, I just needed to put in my 2 cents about IV PC. I used Spoiler tags over the Rant, so it shouldn't offend noboby, and it shouldn't start any flaming/fanboy issues-as clearly this is not what i'm trying to do/talk about since I have all the games for PS2, PS3, X-box 360, and PC, but I prefer the PC versions over the Console versions, but I still play all versions at one time or another.-just to clarify the rant a little better. Edit: Dang it, I didn't realize this was the Lost and Damned and not the IV topic-sorry about the confusion. Heck for all I know it might just be a integrated video card using system memory. For 500$ you can already get a system running Xbox equivalent settings, heck even more. Most people have dual core these days, quad cores, etc. Also, they would've been pretty f*cking stupid to add TLAD achievements and not bring it to the PC, don't you think? Mafioso86
I hope this is true for all the PC guys... I'd love to see the mods they could do with TLAD and eventually TBOGT... the only thing that concerns me is the fact that I seem to remember hearing somewhere that you can play 360 games on Windows 7 or something? I'm not a huge PC guy, so I could be completely wrong in this... but could these achievements have been added due to the fact that 360 EFLC disc can be played on a PC? Ryder 556
Are you guys aware that on the Episodes From Liberty City box that it says at the top "X-Box 360 Exclusive"? And are you not aware that 70-80% of all titles on Xbox 360 that say "X-box 360 Exclusive" will be released on a different console in at least 6 months? You see. It works like this. If it's not a first party exclusive then it's a timed exclusive.

CharmingCharlie
but could these achievements have been added due to the fact that 360 EFLC disc can be played on a PC? Erm no just no, where on earth did you hear that rubbish ? The current DLC and EFLC disc are completely INCOMPATIBLE with the PC. The EFLC disc only works in the xbox 360 console. If you put the EFLC disc into a PC it will look at you slightly bemused and wonder what you are smoking. The DLC will only work on the PC if it is specifically programmed to work on the PC. Now these achievements added today with the latest patch are a very big hint that Rockstar is getting ready to release the 1st DLC on the PC. So I guess Microsoft should remove all that "Exclusive to Xbox" sh*t since it aint any more.
Dvt-MedShot
No, indeed. It's now exclusive to the Xbox and PC!
CharmingCharlie
I have no doubt you will be spouting the same bullsh*t when it is exclusive to the PC, 360 and PS3. The fact is the first DLC is no longer exclusive to Xbox 360 which xbox fanboys have been bashing over people's heads for nearly 4 f*cking years now. So if you have something to say about TLaD coming to the PC then feel free to post, if you are just posting to be an xbox fanboy then feel free to let me know, so I can make a note in your member log along with a lengthy ban. The Notorious MOB
I think this is great news for all the PC guys (if it's true that is). I never thought it was unimaginable that it would come to PC since Microsoft is a prodominantly PC focussed company... in fact it was always quite possible. I can't see why anybody would not like this news.. I'm actually considering picking up the PC version of Vanilla myself to prick about with mods and sh*t. I can only imagine what people could make out of TLAD on the PC!! Edited November 11, 2009 by Money Over Bullshit

Exactly this is good news for ALL GTA fans, as a GTA fan we should want every one to experience GTA. The only people that are likely to be depressed about this are certain fanboys of a certain console . But then those fanboys have never been GTA fans and were just interested in using the exclusivity to bash GTA fans on other systems.
nkjellman
The XBOX exclusive thing may stay on EFLC because it has exclusive radio content. So Im glad to see this and Im hoping that TBOGT will also be released on PC. Modding TBOGT will be lots of fun because of unaccsesable vehicles like the Skyhook. Hydro_PT
I can only be happy with this. I always thought we would get these DLCs, sooner or later. It's nice to see I was right. I hope that PS3 users get them too, but I doubt it. TLAD and TBOGT are great DLCs to an already great game, and everyone should be able to play them. I hate exclusives... I can't wait to play them now, and after playing over and over, find all the secrets and have lots of fun in SP and MP, I want to mess up with the trainers and see what else is there for us. I've been playing GTA IV lately because of a nice trainer that allows you to do great stuff that otherwise wouldn't be possible.
CharmingCharlie
To add further weight to the FACT that TLaD is coming to the PC, I see City_Poke912 has been poking around the command lines for the PC after the patch. There appears to be a NEW command line that PC users can access called :- -uninstallcontent : Uninstall GFWL GTA In-game content You couldn't get much more proof than that really lol. JohnZS
I wonder if The Lost and Damned will bring any further graphical enhancements to the table, or will it run somehow in game using our GTA IV installations? (rather like the old school Half-Life Mods were all based on the same engine and required that game to be installed for it to work?!) I must admit, even though I am trying to be a glass half empty kind of guy the evidence is pointing towards TLAD being released on the PC very soon! The jury is still out on Gay Tony (that one might not come until next Summer or something....) but TLAD must be pretty close now surely!
