Yeah the Hindenburg worked "fine" till that one time it didn't work fine and crashed to earth in a fiery ball of twisted molten metal. I just prefer to update my games MANUALLY outside of a system that has an annoying habit of "hanging" and not actually telling me what the f*ck it is actually doing.

the exe is usually almost identical.. ok, it's few bits off, but what it installs will be exactly the same as the "non-gfwl patch"..

I have all the game settings set to the highest.

 

I'm still a little weary on downloading that patch or update. Mind you I did, but with no confirmation from Rockstar or Microsoft, it has me a little worried.

I've just tested MP and I easilly joined a freemode game with no problems!

Still doesn't work here.

I can't join or host a game.

i can only brag about my GTX260 prolly.

 

the way i see it, we are their guinea pigs. No official releases cuz they would make them look bag.

Note the new 1.5 exe still reports 1.0.4 however I can confirm that patch 1.0.5 is a official patch.

This is starting to look like someone from MS screwed and accidentally published the patch to public. R* normally annunces their patches and change the game version to the next on (I think it still says 1.0.4.0 after new patch?).

Version 1.0.0.4 – November 10, 2009

 

GENERAL:

Convert all region SKU's into the same SKU.

Include support for all languages within single exe.

CONTROLS:

Allow controls to be double mapped on keyboard.

Added option in controls menu to disable mouse controls in helicopters.

Adjust keyboard control sensitivity in hood cam view in vehicles.

MULTIPLAYER:

Security Updates to deter cheating in multiplayer.

Hosts can now immediately Kick users from their games in Lobby and in game via Cell phone without having to rely on peer voting.

Fixed a bug in Cops 'n Crooks mode where Host would drop out and prevent remaining players from leaving game.
