I reinstalled the game and repatched it and it is still choppy during the day now. Some one want to buy this POS for a penny? If you think it is worth it I will say.

Could it be anything to do with your crossfire set up? IV isn't too happy with multiple graphics cards running.

I had a quick go online and the game still had the SMPa60 error...

I sold my second card to my friend actually so this is with single 4870 1GB card and my CPU @ 4.16GHz on water cooling.

I was already searching for anything about the DLC and Microsoft's contract with R*. Damn, this looks good...

if you have the legit version, you can just D/L it in game, but be patient because it takes about 3 mins, even on 10Mb

Still no word from Rockstar. All I can guess is that Rockstar passed the patch onto GFWL for them to test with their system. But GFWL decided to publish it. Since rockstar usally provide another way of installing the patch, and documentation to go along with the patch.

Aight now this is strange. My bar for the installer was like on 55%, and now it went back to 35%

What BB speeds have you got?

So:

- Game is running (thanks God).

- There's no difference for me, maybe even 1-2 FPS boost.

- NoDVD from SecuROM still works on this patch too.

- Glad to see "55 Achievements".

- Now we can set 2 keys for the same action (poor consoles with only 14 buttons).

It looks like it's reinstalling the whole game... and I'm 100% sure my game is not modded in any way, other than that NET script hook that doesn't work if xliveless is off, and yes, my xliveless IS off.

I'm guessing that everyone is trying to download it at the same time, hence the slow speeds.

 

My guess is that MS messed up, and released the patch when they shouldn't of done.

The NoDVD may be why you aren't see'ing any differences...

Ok I'm 100 % sure we can't play online with modded files now (since no filecheckfix), but what if I delete filelist.pak? Will I be able to play with modded things in SP?

 

EDIT: Anyway this looks like a simple preparation, not a patch. The best alternative would be that we get all the cars/clothes/stuff (like parachute) in game for free, but not the missions from EfLC.
