GTA IV Patch 5

I noticed two weirds when annihilating one Police station (with Annihilator).

1) Annihilator seemed more durable than normally (I also had hard time crash-exploding one car).

2) As long as I didn't shoot any cars, I didn't get wanted level and polices run as if they were pedestrians.

Once I dropped down to the station I immediatelly gained wanted level though.

can't play MP cuz that you use mods.eg, asi mod, asi loader, filecheckfix, ect.

but models and textures don't make any effect

 

first i installed 1.0.0.4 and so i can't play MP. it just told me that the connect to windows LIVE lost.

but after i restore my game files all to original, it works.

 

seems that we need a fresher game to play mp in 1.0.0.4 than before

Looks legit. But maybe it's a simple GFWL update.

Would be awesome if it was for GTA IV.

This doesn't fix it. Besides for that, why should it fix it this shouldn't be needed IMO. It is pathetic that this command ever even existed..

I recently updated it and noticed a HUGE performance increase, I can now run shadows on highest quality, reflections on highest quality with minimal drops in frame rate, I can run 70fps with very high settings (except draw distance, detail distance and textures, they are all set to medium or 50%). I also noticed my CPU usage was almost 100% for all 4 cores. The game looks so good now.

tell me your specs.....i run the game with everything on max but without shadows because i drops like 5-7 fps.

It is pathetic indeed. They knew they f*ucked up hard and figured they would add a manual command so users could fix it. LOL

I finally had a chance to install this patch yesterday (a bit too late I know) and it brings no effect to my game.

This dreadful patch has introduced numerous errors and fixed very little. I would put up with most of the errors, but for the performance hit of shadows not loading properly and causing "the jerks". I have now reverted to 1.0.4.0. What a relief! Smooth again! Just can't play multiplayer now. I cant believe Rockstar could release such a crap patch.

Well this patch totally f**ked my game up i went from avg of 80fps to 20fps, if i revert back to patch 1.0.4.0 I'll get me FPS back up but won't be able to play online.

 

also i have task manager running on second screen and it showed GTA4 as using 1,000,000k of memory and the CPU usage was going nuts with spikes everywhere , the lowest fps i had was 0.8fps going by Evga precision program.

 

so i'll be playing offline till they fix there F**k up.

The game runs worse and i still get the ocasional SMPA60 unrecoverable fault crash in MP, no mods or anything.

After all this time the game is still unstable and running poorly .

Online is swarmed with "modders" and tug spawners still force ppl to disconect, its a total waste of time .

 

I dont want to sound rude but its been a while and the patches didnt even help much.

Anyone else found the shadows from peoples heads look long and flickery ?

 

Also, when turning the 360 pad on mid-game, the throttles etc still dont seem to work properly (full throttle no matter how hard you press down, cant free aim either). Works fine if its on before hand.

I did a fresh install of GTA IV then used this patch and all in all the game is running the best it has ever done. There's still some glitches but no show stoppers.

 

The most annoying this is that the game doesn't remember my joypad settings anymore (vibration, y axis, etc.). I've tried deleting the config files but nothing seems to work, just have to set them up everytime...

Well after a couple of days of playing and browse the forum a bit I noticed that I get that stupid floating markers bug too, and my game's now playing 5 fps lower than I used to before I applied this patch. What went wrong again?

Nevermind, I got the FPS problem fixed... I didn't notice that I hadn't reinstalled back the 185.20 driver. It's now smooth again. I still have the floating sh*t bug though.

Every time R* releases a new patch, I'm like "oh no, I hope they didn't f*uck up too much this time..."

 

I think they managed to screw about every part of the game at least once already - props, shadows, textures, version numbers, FPS, multiplayer, etc. Wait! Except peds... that's right, they didn't f*uck up peds yet. I'm really scared when I think about the next patch. I fear I'll load my game and see all peds went ape-s*hit and walk backwards. F*uck you, R* !

Rockstar TORONTO MUST tell us here WHAT WENT WRONG with PC VERSION OF GTA IV!

I mean, this is really TOO MUCH! I'm not gonna expect DLC-s for PC if they ruin them like they did with GTA IV!

The whole objective lesson with this release was to ensure the masses would purchase the console version for

GTAV! Just sayin'...

Hi - Was wondering if anyone is having issues with the infamous anti-pirating measure after the last patch? I have xliveless for my saves, but its the retail version. However, I'm having drunken-camera and uncontrolled acceleration. Thanks for the help.

Reason:

* Security Updates to deter cheating in multiplayer.

I can't use my trainers or scripts like that in my game, MP nor SP. Sp means Single Player, and I cannot use any asi filecheckfixes either in my game at all.

I mean it sucks. I am listening to Basta - Mama right now, a russian Rap/Poetry song, and dont be surprised if I sound Emo, or emotional or whatever american crap hits the chat group and brag or whatever out there. screw you american facist/offenders.

 

Srsly listen to this song, you'll calm and all that, you just gotta here this. Basta - Mama.

 

 

EDIT: Positive Impact too, they have enabled Pistol-Whip with weapons like on Xbox Controllers, but the only bad thing about that whole-in-one button is that the baseball bat and knife (Melee weapons) Dont work with the left click anymore. I'm going back to my Flamethrower Weaponinfo.xml. You have to right click to aim and then R or Q for Alt. Punch or Kick. It does suck, so the majority of my vote went to Negative Impact.

But still.
