Map found in Bahama Mamas!

Yeah I saw that too. I say it's part of San Andreas, which I think will be the next game, then maybe a Vice City after that, but I don't think R* can see a Vice City outside of the 80's so I don't think they'll do it. But I think a modern VC would be awesome, there's is a show called Burn Notice that's in Miami and reminds me a lot of what today's VC would be like.

This map is in Vanilla IV too, look on the Bridge of the Platypus.

Good eye, I hadn't seen this in IV. Thanks cookie.gif

I was thinking the same thing about Vice City and I love Burn Notice!

Well, I looked around some more but didn't find anything else that was of any significance in Bahama Mamas. Although I did find a pretty amusing easter egg while I was searching by the DJ's turntable. There's a record sleeve up there with O.G. Loc on the cover and his name in the San Andreas font. It's cool to see little nods to the past games....

BTW excellent find on the Salem map, I guess it really doesn't mean anything after all.....the only thing of any significance that happened in Salem, MA were the Salem Witch Trials....but that was in 1692. Probably another inside joke easter egg like the numbers on the plane in the credits.

Thanks for crediting me. This is a great find, I couldn't seem to get inside that room when I bugged inside. How did you get in? Also, I'm going to try and bug into some other BOGT interiors that may have an easter egg and/or secret.

is that place famous for anything even lol?

The only thing off the top of my head that's famous about Salem, Massachusetts are the Salem Witch Trials, but that's from 1692-1693, dear God, I hope they don't make a Grand Theft Auto THAT far back confused.gif

Lol yeah, Grand Theft Auto: The Pure and Sacred

I think its just some inside joke that the fans don't get. Or maybe they put it in there to confuse people who actually find the map and think its an easter egg.

It shows how gullible us fans are cryani.gif

The 2nd picture. I recognize the map. It's San Andreas. Oh my God. I perfectly recognize it. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! YOU CAN'T HAVE FOUND A SAN ANDREAS MAP! NOOOO!

Read the rest of the thread before you start being a smart ass. It has been proved to be Salem, Massachusetts. Get your facts straight.

No problem wink.gif Well, it took quite a long time for me to get inside, but I used the bus trick that you created in another topic. Get the bus right up against the wall so that Luis can't get out of the bus, but instead teleports to the left of it. Then jump on to the front and shimmy yourself to the left.....be patient; it took me probably 15 minutes to get in. Then I dropped down into the building and spawned an APC like you said, but I had the hardest time trying to find an opening big enough to walk around in since everything's invisible. Finally I got to a place where I could get inside the APC and drive around a little bit....when I got out, everything just magically materialized around me. The key is to be patient...it must have taken me close to an hour to get to the point where I actually took the picture of the map. I guess I'll have to start up a new game if I want to see people and hear music in there. smile.gif

...Or just hit replay. Unless that's what you meant.

You guys take so long to glitch inside there so see the map, why not walk through the front door in multiplayer free roam?

Because the whole point of the glitch is to get in there in SP. You don't really know the mind of a glitcher, they never give up. It took me about 4 hours to find that glitch.

That's 3 hours and 59 minutes you could've been playing with your friends. The other 1 minute is the time for you to google it and find a way in.

I did google it. Also, try and google "gta ballad of gay tony glitch bahama mamas" and get some proper results.

@yngwierocks: I don't have an Xbox Live Gold account, therefore I cannot play online......I wouldn't play multiplayer enough to justify paying the yearly charge anyway. I just like playing in single player more.....it looks like there's too many damn distractions in Free Mode with random assholes swooping down in a buzzard and killing you.

I don't understand why we can't just play multiplayer like the old PS2 days when someone just plugged in a second controller and played....no LAN parties or anything, just connect, hit MP, and play with a friend.

Anyway, I just get a certain joy out of trying to figure out and accomplish a glitch; it's sort of like figuring out a puzzle to me.

I agree. I got asked to glitch into the meTV building and now I know that someone pointed it out, I won't stop 'til I get in.

Not to burst bubbles, this is a map of New York state.

The real New York state, see - http://gis.nyc.gov/doitt/nycitymap/ and then cry.

Except that the map I found is not of New York State, but of Salem/Marblehead and Beverly Harbor Massachusetts. Look at the Harvard link on the second page....it's the exact copy of the nautical map. Why they would pick that particular part of MA, I have no idea.

This map is in Vanilla IV too, look on the Bridge of the Platypus.

So that's what everyone is up to?

Since I last popped in, good graphics considering. I wouldn't write off any good ideas, as Blue Spot noticed what WAS a LC map on one of the boats, however, the boat chase with alt. camera angle??? I don't recall that in GTA4, do you?

^(BTW, I am referring to the glitch, which was just posted last time I checked this forum section)

Thats what private matches are for, you can invite your friends only, turn off friendly fire, turn off cops, etc.

Plus every building is open in free mode, including meTV, and bahama mamas.

By old dayz, one could be simply referring to PS2's San Andreas, in which split screen came into play as you and another in-room player seperated during the Rampages, however, I wanted to see that SA formula expanded, as you say, directly via multiple controllers on ONE system, giving the MP experience without being in another location.

In other words: splitscreen co-op or multiplayer... I actually expected something like that (especially splitscreen) for GTAIV (since they are more and more focussing on developing the franchise on consoles).

I wonder why Rockstar would use a real-life map of a specific area.

With Gay Tony being a big gangster im guessing that the map of the ports is used to mark out drug running routes, maybe a potential deal could be going down in that area and the map is there for Tony to plan escape routes etc. It does seem odd that its a real life map though.

Hey guys, I just got through glitching into Bahama Mamas thanks to the tips from Colt M14, and I found a map on a desk in the room where Luis gets the blowjob from that girl in the mission "Boulevard Baby". I've never seen another GTA map that looks like this....could it possibly reveal the next location of GTA neXt? It's a map of a landmass and water, not the interior of a building or Bahama Mamas. It's definitely not a map of Liberty City either. Could just be an easter egg, but you never know.

Sorry for the sh*tty quality, but I took these with my laptop with one hand since my f*cking camera's batteries are dead.
