I hope they're just f*cking with us. I feel like England would be too much like LC sure they're different but look of the city, the colors they're more of the same. And the rip in the page looks way more like the west coast of France than it does England, a GTA: London game is very unlikely but hasn't been done since way back in the GTA1 era, we've had 3 Vice Cities, 2 San Andreas (one of which being Los Santos in GTA1), a crap-load of Liberty Cities, but 2 London games (with almost the exact same atmosphere and map as each other). Some of you may be like "Oh, but San Andreas only had 2 aswell!" Thing is about that, the first San Andreas was actually just Los Santos if you look at the map, San Andreas got about 3 times its worth and in a full-3D GTA world. London, on the other hand, desperately needs to be done again. P.S. Please don't even start about Anywhere City. It's had 1 game, but it was way ahead of its time (being in the future and all ). Agreed no one ever talks about Anywhere City. But it was pretty much just Liberty City just set in 2013 from the GTA 2 trailer with the twin towers. IMO the only thing they have in common is the gritty like atmosphere. I'm sure R* would find a way to make a GTA London feel different to any of the LC renditions they've done. I live in London. I FAIL to see the similarities between London and Liberty City, aside from gritty neighbourhoods and skyscrapers, which, well, SA will have and VC will have. Tipper Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Personally i think that there isn't any hint in the game, just remember a few years ago, a lot of people thought GTA IV would be set in London because of some hints in the game, and finally, it was LC. London at night = alot of stabbings..it's known for alot of stabbings.. ive lived there in one part of where i was living there where one gang in my apartment blocks and another JUST across the road .. and the road was called no mans land .. so many fights bearly any shootings just stabbings etc etc.. so i rekon a pretty good place to be the next gta just imagin all the damage you can do in london.. A diverse city with around the population size of LA and Chicago combined must have a diverse crime scene. And it has. But they totally replaced the San Francisco (San Andreas) from the first game with San Fierro being San Francisco and Los Santos inheriting some of the map layout. Tell me that doesn't look like the map of Los Santos at least a bit... Seeing that map again makes me nostalgia. Anyway, that's not the point. On-Topic: London is completely different to how Liberty City is portrayed in GTA. The only similarities I can really see is just the grimy, industrial atmosphere of the most part of London.
