loaderload
Turn off crossfire. That might be the problem I tried turning off "Catalyst AI", which gave me a few fps in the benchmark, but other than that I can't shut off one of the gpu's. Is 60-65 degrees celsius healthy for a q6600? Thats the sort of temp it hits when I overclock it to 3ghz. Thanks for the help btw
supermortalhuman
That's fine really. You're really not in the red zone until 75+, but aim to be no higher than 70.
Gilly1987
OC the CPU.This game can only take advantage of up to 3 cores. OC it to 3Ghz+ but windows spreads the use to all cores and to "loaderload " i think you should buy a new aftermarket cpu cooler to bring temps down ,to extend the life of ure cpu and better ocing options and try using everest to max out ure cpu usage to 100% for a couple of hours ,i bet you reach 70+ temp Edited November 4, 2009 by Gilly1987

loaderload
I went all out in the summer, bought a coolermaster scout case, several extra fans and a coolermaster v8 cpu cooler so I could keep my 3ghz OC in the heatwave. The v8 cooler didn't fit in the scout case despite being made by the same company. I'm using a asaka 965 which is an okay cooler considering it cost £15. It's f*cking freezing in london in the moment, so If 60-65 celcius full load is an acceptable temp to run a q6600 I'll switch to it now. I want to get an i5 soon anyway.
