Need help finding baloons

I've always been one to like to find the hidden items in games in GTA to get the guns at the safehouse. I have no beef with GTA:VCS for the PSP, but I have to say shooting these damn balloons is a real pain in the arse, to put it lightly.

 

Because they can be anywhere, it makes things alot harder. I miss LCS where I would just walk up to them to collect them.

 

Here's my frusteration.

 

I spent 2 hours following this walkthrough to try and find this airport terminal 'c' with no luck.

Am I just lame?

 

Then I Go to the other balloon which is inside the airport you have to shoot through the metal detector to get it on the east security entrance. I shoot at it but no matter what happens even if I shoot inbetween the metal detector the bullets bounce off.

 

Both I've spent well over 2 hours each searching for, its frusterating beyond belief.

 

Here's the guide for the first one, I followed it EXACTLY:

Red Balloon #03

A. Now you will need to go out and acquire a PCJ600 and then return to Fort

Baxter (the closest one to get is the one near the garages at the Southern

end of the Apartment buildings of Eastern Vice Port or you can go to the

Eastern most house on Starfish Island to find one).

 

Done, found the PCJ.

B. Leave through the front Gates of Fort Baxter turn left (East) onto the

street here and follow this street as it curves to the right (South) up

ahead.

Done, did this no problem.

C. Turn left (East) at the end of this street up ahead and then follow this

street as it curves around to the right (South).

Yep, this too , made sense. Even looked on my map to make sure I was following the right direction.

D. Turn right (West) at the first street you come to and then turn right

(North) into the entrance/opening into the Terminal C area to your right.

This is where it gets me, what termial C? All I see "terminal C" is a sign on a terminal that says, oddly, Terminal C. Except you can't go in it, it's just a sign. Where is this ??

 

E. As you enter you should see a runway in front of you.

Nope, completely lost me.

 

F. Follow this runway as it makes it's way around the Terminal C building

and when it ends look to the left (Southwest) to see a small staircase you

can use to jump up onto the roof of the shorter building here.

 

G. After you land on the roof of this building get off the PCJ and look up

to the left (Southeast) to see the 3rd Red Balloon just under the

overhanging roof.

 

H. Now move close enough to it that you can manually aim at it with your

Pistol to shoot it.

 

I should also mention an error I found. If you click on secrets on VCS and click the 99 balloons it takes you to www.gtaportable.com which has no information on the balloons.

 

Can anyone help?

Turn around and look up. You should see it to the left a bit. Use a Assualt or Sniper Rifle to shoot it.

Damn, still can't find it. Followed your instructions too. I ordred the brady games PSP Verison of GTA:VCS, hopefully this can help me. I've looked through all the walkthroughs and guides, and I can never find them. I heard this guide has some errors in it so I will have to check on brady's site what they fixed.

These balloons are tricky

Make sure when you drive off from Terminal C you dont drive towards Terminals B and A. Go away from them. Id post A pic if I could find the camera.

Let's try this another way. get an M4 by killing a soldier in Fort Baxter, now exit Fort Baxter and turn right then you will curve to the left and right before you enter the tunnel exit your vehicle and look carefully to that building, you will see the baloon (I hope ) it will be too far away to shoot with a Pistol so use the M4.

 

For the other one try this trick: enter the airport (unarmed) and find a security guard, break his neck, grab his pistol and shoot the baloon. easy

Well there wes on on the building next to the tunnel, isn't there another one near the EIA terminal whereever that is?

Is there anyway to manuel aim without using the analog? Its very hard

Ahhh... no. but what's the hard thing about aiming at an object that doesn't move? just put in manual aim, aim (use the L button if you need to make fine adjustments) and shoot.

 

Look at this map, for instance:

 

The balloon I was talking about (after the tunnel) is the number 34 in this map.

 

Good luck finding the remaining balloons (how much balloons have you collected, by the way?).

I have the PSP Verison.....aiming iwith the analog is pretty hard, didn't know you could adjust it with the L button.

Thanks for the map man, I actually got 8 of them total. I found another one on the map by just following it.

 

Some are harder than others. For example, I was trying to find No.45 but I couldn't find it anywhere!

I think it might be in that fenced area but I couldn't figure out how to get in there...

 

Do you know if there's a walkthrough that this map uses that numbers them so I can find no.45?

 

I like this map alot more than the other ones.

Number 45, hmm, I see, the one under a roof. did you played the mission "The audition" already? (second Lance mission) if so you will figure out how to get there in that mission.

 

I'm not going to tell you how to get there i'm gonna give you some clues instead.

 

-in Vice Port find the "Full Moon" sign.

-find the unique stunt next to the sign in a roof top.

-find the stairs around the building.

-use your head to figure out the rest

I'm not going to tell you how to get there i'm gonna give you some clues instead.

Found it, thanks bro. I stole an LA wintergreen police bike, then drove it up the stairs.

Then I did the unique stunt jump, and I thought you mean't to do another unique stunt jump right after that

(the other ramp) but then If igured out just to go down the stairs after the first one and I popped the balloon

Ok so I went and got 33 of the 99 balloons so far.

 

Pretty much got all of them on the island I can access in the game so far (the only big one)

 

except for a few I couldn't find that I posted here

 

The game is so much fun its hard to stop playing....and now that I have a map the balloons aren't so hard

 

Some are harder than others to get but most of them just require careful looking.

N.12 is inside a building passage. you can't go there without an heli.

 

As for the guide I have no ideia. but you have a "human guide" right here: me

 

You can't unlock more than the molotovs in the first island so play the game, unlock the second, try to get all the balloons and if you have problems finding some of them just comeback here (or PM me, no problem) say the numbers and I will try to help you

The one at the stadium is really, really high, I'm not sure if you can burst it without a Sniper. try manual aim with your AK/M4 to see if you can. it's close to the top.

Sorry, I don't know where you got that info but that's not real. there's nothing to buy at that place at any time.

 

The only BP bike I can think off is the Quad the drug dealer uses to flee at the mission "Unfriedly competition"

Edge_shot, I got them all (i think) I got 44 on the first island.

 

Is that all of them (for now) before I unlock the second island to use the helicopter?

#4 Need a sniper rifle to pop. East of the stadium, inside overhang of tall glass building

The 'guidebook' is the brady stragegy guide I bought. I heard however it contains a few errors on the balloons. So I registered the product after hearing they corrected the problems and updated it on their website, so far no luck finding it.

I can get the one on the glass building but I need a sniper rifle, tried it with an AK won't work.

 

I see there's a sniper rifle on starfish island but I can't find it...have any idea? Can't find help in guides either

Yep, that's right, those 3 only after you unlock the second island (stadium and Mendez building with Sniper and the one inside a building with an heli)

 

The Sniper is at the back of a house at the north side of Starfish but it only spawns there after you unlock the second island (same thing with the RPG that spawns in front of another house in Starfish).

 

But when you unlock the island you can get a Laser Sniper at the top of the police station in Washington Beach which is better than the normal Sniper.

how to use the scope in the Equalizer? it's easy... you don't use it. the scope is only a ornament, it has no "in game" use. in fact, the gun is the same has the Python from LCS but with an ugly, useless, scope. call it "80's style" hehehe.
