AbbaZabba
If you're thinking about getting Bioware's newest rpg. What platform will you get it for? I'm upgrading my PC but the parts won't be here for a couple weeks. You think I should go PC or Xbox? I'm leaning toward PC. Something to test the new gear with. Creed Bratton
Just look at other Bioware titles and you'll understand. I don't want to start a fanboy war, but RPG's are best played on PC. Japanese RPG's are for consoles. But who plays those anyway...
Otter
All reviews so far firmly peg this as a PC game. I just bought my own copy; installing now. I'll let you know what I think. Been waiting for this one for ages, if you'll pardon the pun.
Mike Tequeli
Liking the reviews but not the look of the gameplay. I might go with my gut on this, and PC by the way.
Otter
I'm not much digging the look of the gameplay either, but I was a huge fan of Baldur's gate, so I'm thinking this'll be right up my alley. Slow install btw. Edited November 4, 2009 by Otter
Don Garcia
Liking the reviews but not the look of the gameplay. Yeah, the name BioWare got me all excited, but then I checked out a few gameplay vids and was pretty perplexed. It looks like sh*t to be honest. I won't comment on the actual gameplay. I guess this is a true RPG, because it looks, boring? I guess that's the word. Just my 2 pennies worth.
AbbaZabba
Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm going PC version. I just found out my computer is in the mail, and on it's way north. Let me know what you think Otter. Once you've played a while.
Otter
I'm loving the game so far - it's a blast. The art direction is the only drawback; aside from the brilliant environments, architecture, and clothing/armor, the characters aren't that lovingly brought to life and in some cases the animation is rather jerky. Because of this, the cinematics feel dated - especially compared to some of the games I've played lately with such a high level of polish (Resident Evil 5, Batman - Arkham Asylum) This is covered, though, by the brilliant voice acting and incredible sound design. I'm also finding the PC-only top down camera to be the best way to enjoy the game, although it is fun to get right down there in the heat of battle. Totally recommend, especially if you're into non linear stories, strategic battles, and roleplaying.
Sauron
I hadn't been following this game at all until I read a review yesterday. Looks great, I was also a massive fan of Baldur's Gate. I'm not sure whether to go PC or X360, I haven't played a game on PC in years, and if the layout is similar to Mass Effect I should be able to manage. Might have to read up on a few more reviews before I make my decision though.
