Coldkilla Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Alright, I've been out of playing GTA for nearly 6 months since my last GTA4 film (created films are in sig). I've been floating the idea of making a new one in the coming weeks. I was wondering what you believe are best beneficial tools to film making. 1) Are mods still disabled online? 2) What are some of the best trainers that could benefit the film making process? ---UI Construction Mods ---Vehicle Spawners ---Browsing using SP Animations ---Ped Spawners ---Camera tools? ---Any additional beneficial suggestions I haven't reinstalled the game yet, and don't plan to unless things are better these days. Having the ability to use the mods online (In freemode) so I can use actors is paramount, but if its still disallowed I'll probably pass on the whole deal. I plan on spending 100-200 hours filming/editing/recruiting people, as I'm contemplating this be my college media project for the end of the semester. Download SimpleNativeTrainer, you can do loads of stuff, change weather, fly, full health, spawn bodyguards, ragdoll, spawn and place objects. etc. Place this in your directory too. Coldkilla Posted November 6, 2009 Author Share Posted November 6, 2009 Thanks. Yea if I end up reinstalling it soon, I will make a thread for it specifically for any potential actors. The stress in making these movies is actors (fancy that). This time around I've got strict guidelines. -Scheduled film times a few times a week. -Microphones & Ventrilo -Prefer 16+ age for maturity sake -Gamepads strongly recommended (All car drivers are required to have one). -Low Pings, prefer based in USA. Back in January I created a "video storyboard" of sorts. Actors will watch this video cutout of what I am trying to achieve (as so they have a direction and could make any suggestions/input before shooting), its currently being setup on a private youtube account. Voice actors will be brought in as well, even before shooting as to make sure we capture the emotion best in the film. -Anyway, thanks for the mod suggestions. I'll be here again soon, I may just reinstall the game tomorrow and give these a try to see if the film would even be as great as I plan it out to be. Especially like your use of action movie music. Add's a whole new dimension to the narrative. I've always held off volunteering due to the time difference (I'm in the UK) and not being sure on the time I have available but would be interesting in helping out on this project. The ideal time for me would be about 5.30 EST onwards in the week. I can sort out Ventrillo and have a quality wireless headset. I play exclusively on the 360 controller as I play on my plasma so all good there in terms of driving or flying a chopper. Not sure on ping but we have pretty good links to the US so it may not be an issue. I've always thought I'm quite good at voices but whether I could read lines to the required quality is another matter but wouldn't mind giving it a go if given some. If sectioned off into set lines which could be recorded and then sequenced into the movie that might make it easier to get them to sound right. Looking forward to seeing what you are planning. I don't think modding will be an issue as from what I've seen since 1.0.4 came out it's not a problem in freemode. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
