virus733 Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Hello Guys .. kinda new to gta iv . it runs smooth but sometimes when playing multiplayer it randomly kicks me for " PC RUNNING TO SLOW " Even when its running smooth and it runs ok in single player.. it just randomly kicks and when i rejoin it kicks even more oftenly .. Jimbatron Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 A couple of thoughts: Are you running anything in the background like a peer to peer program, or are you on a shared connection where someone else might be? Are you trying to join games that are already in progress? This tends to be more of a problem (I think it is actually impossible to join Cops 'n Crooks All for One whilst in progress, I always get disconnected immediately on attempt) - perhaps try joining lobbies and starting the game from the beginning if so. @ Moderators - perhaps this would be get more attention from people who can provide better advice than me in the PC section? Int Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz 2 Gig Ram, 160 gb sata2 hdd 512 DDR XFX Geforce 8600 GT 10 Meg Connection Virgin ^^^Is the server hosted on ^^^ And the Pc Being kicked .. is 3.4 Dual Core 2 Gig Ram, 160 gb sata2 hdd Geforce 8400GS 512 DDR 20 Meg Internet Connection ^^^ Is the Kicking Computer ^^^ 2 quite quick systems and both running smooth ,, But just says , " YOUR COMPUTER IS RUNNING SLOW" But cant see how ? JohnnyVendetta Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Do you run FRAPS? Try that and see the FPS you are getting with the game. I can hardly imagine an 8400 GS does anything around "smooth" with a Dual Core (even over 3.0 GHZs) with GTA 4. I get playable performance with a Q6600, 6GB of DDR2 RAM and 8800 GT. Graphics settings been lowers to the minamum but if theres any tweeks, Fixes Anyone knows of that may help .. Post below anything cud help ..
