Slamman
Yeah, I mentioned the 1984 miniseries with Jane Badler, and a normal appearing Freddy Kroegger <sp?> actor Robert Englund, it was interesting to see him out of makeup at that point in time. I believe actor Mark Singer was in that as well... I am trying to recall without the IMDB open right now, I think the remake coming out will not offer up the same experience, not nearly as good, as I remember it. Funny enough, a 1985 bootleg of Metallica live was featuring the V cover and graphic, no real reasoning why, but I always wondered! haha. The boot I don't think has a title. Are you guys aware of this?
Andyzoot
I'm definitely going to check this out. Never seen the original though so I don't really have any idea what happens in it apart from what I've seen in the trailer...
Otter
I wonder if they're going to deviate much from the original? I wouldn't recommend spoiling it by watching the original, Panda. If they stick to the same story line, you're in for a lot of fun twists.

AmyJones
We have the box set for the original V but i never watched it. The only part of that series i recall is that chick eating that bird. I just hope to god they dont try that sh*t with alien nation. that was a terrible tv show
Slamman
Alien Nation, with Mandy Patinkin? I forget his name, the series as well. I really preferred to see the remade War of the Worlds as shown in the late 1980s
Toke
I watched the pilot last night. I really liked it even though I hear its going to be a full blown TV series rather than a mini series which kinda pisses me off. I know all what happened in the 84 version so I have a feeling they will drag this out for too long.
HolyGrenadeFrenzy
I have been following it and it seems to being pulled off brilliantly. Let's hope that it remains that way and doesn't fade into something that we find slipping into a remake nightmare.
