It looks somewhat good upto now, you need to work on the detail a bit more, i imagine this project is a WIP so i would suggest you add more buildings closer together to compact a city like area, more work on the roads and walkways etc. Im sure if you pop over to the Modding sections of the forums they can be a bit more helpful since i dont know much about mods and i am just giving you my opinion on what work i would be aiming to complete if the project was mine. (what's up with the tiny little green car in the screenshot? Matchbox? ) Looks nifty though, keep at it. See how functionally close to the original you can get. Funny, just the other day I was entertaining the thought of making some stand-alone clones of SA's mini-games, like the one with the bees, and the Degenetron. I wouldn't call Gamemaker Pro an "engine" by any means. It is pretty neat, though. I have it myself, for sh*ts and giggles. It's pretty sophisticated for what it does, and is nice for super-oldschool style games, but it makes one hell of a massive .exe for even the tiniest of output. A do-nothing pong-style paddle game with only a ball and paddles will weigh in at a few megabytes (!!!), whereas if you wrote it in C or Delphi it would be maybe 200k. <edit> I just looked at your download page... 11.6MB?!! YIKES!!!! Not on dialup, buddy. But anyway, GMP's fun to play with. @ jimmy. Stay away from tinypic. Or Photophucket for that matter. They often break images if they don't eat them outright. At least ImageShack only chokes with "bad gateway" on occasion. And Host Gator has to be the worst, hands down. Like Photobucket, they have pretty stupid bandwidth caps & dump policy. It was not easy making this especially since i was new to all this and please everyone tell me what you dislike about the game and i will see what i can fix. Benjimino234 Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Game Maker is fun, but I have a MAC! There is currently a public beta test for Game Maker 7 for Macs, and I was the first on board. But the sprite editor is so messed up it's horrible. But the other things are working out okay. I reported a few bugs and glitches on this site they give you. Grand Theft Auto Dude Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I played around with Game Maker a while ago. I had some fun with it, but I was 11 so I never finished anything I started. And it still hasn't been updated at all from 7.0? Yoyo kinda ruined it all. They were meant to have an old Xbox execuitive and other people behind it, but 3 years later... Nothing at all!
