I.R.Badguy
So I downloaded The Ballad of Gay Tony on Friday night, I had already downloaded The Lost and The Damned when that had come out in the Spring. So after it finishes downloading I go to play it, the first cut scene plays and just as I'm about to get into player controlled action, when I get a disc read error message saying that the disc is either to scratched or needs to be cleaned. So I take the disc out, its not badly scratched, just your usual wear and tear on the disc, I clean it off, pop it back in and it takes me to The Lost and The Damned. So I try several times and it keeps taking me to TLTD. So I delete TLTD. After doing that it just keeps taking me into regular GTA IV. I eventually delete all the save info, loosing all of my saves, but thankfully not my achievements. After doing that all I can access is regular GTA IV. All the other downloadable content I have works fine, I had downloaded and played the mappacks for Call of Duty World at War just fine. So I took my harddrive and my copy of GTA IV and I poped my harddrive on a buddys Xbox and I still couldn't play the downloaded stuff, but I can play regular GTA IV just fine. So I don't know whats up, is it the copy of my game or something else. If it is my game what should I do, should I buy a new copy, or just bite the bullet and buy EFLC even though I already own the game? Has anyone else had a similar problem? liquidus119
You have to start a main game of GTAIV, and then under "load" or "game" (whatever you use to load saved games) you select "start new game" and THEN you choose the episode you want to play. LCstuntman
Jesus Christ, you deleted ALL that stuff, and didn't think of selecting 'New Game'? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/431226-download-content-wont-work/#findComment-1059606744 Share on other sites

Really? Cause I remember when I started playing The Lost and The Damned it took me to a black screen before the game started and asked if I wanted to play the Lost and the Damned before the loading screen. But thank you I'll try that when I get the chance, I hope it works. How would you play any of the other games if it forced you to play the last episode you downloaded?
