This is Messed up! The topic was serious. I was claiming it was messed up that I ran ( Notice: Ran, Not Drove) into people and knocked them down twice to kill them and thought it was a mistake in gameplay.. before I could get a real answer it was locked. Some people mistakenly thought I was running peds over with a car. This is not the case. I am simply walking or running into them to kill them. I repeat. I'm able to kill people by BUMPING into them ON FOOT, With No Car, No Weapons. I never need to pick up any weapons in this game a long as I can kill someone by walking into them!! This is Not a joke. Is this the way the game really plays or is there something wrong with my game? It don't seem correct to me that just by walking into someone would kill them. (How can I consider if the game is meant to be like that - er.. I dunno.. perhaps it's cus I Never Played It Before! DOH!) Since your more than happy to answer my threads, tell me.. how many times does it take when you bump into a npc before you kill them? I'm trying to get an idea what's wrong here and why. ( and if you would have read my first post carefully enough you would know I wasn't talking about running people over with a car.) And done. IV is not the same as San Andreas. IV uses the new animation machine. Maybe it's a cleo mod that is messing up your GTA. Simply removing the Cleo 3 library is NOT an option. I purchased this game just so I can play the first person mod. I have the game CD Unpatched and Cleo 3 and the fps mod and that's it. Other people have the same and they don't have this problem, ( that I know of). So it Must be fixable somehow. Listen I don't wanna to have to reply to anymore silly post. JohnPhoenix Posted November 2, 2009 Author Share Posted November 2, 2009 O.k. I have played around with it enough to find out it's directly related to Ryosuke's FPS mod. When I am not in FPS mode bumping into people don't harm them, it don't even knock them down once. I have tried 2 versions of this FPS mod with the same results. I would ask in the Ryosuke FPS thread but I cannot seem to find it. Can anyone point me to the correct forum for this mod so I can get help there? Alternately, I heard there is another way to make on foot FPS mode work, perhaps this one wont have the same problem. Does anyone know what that way is? I use CamHack and it's cool, try it. You can change the camera views. If you have more to say please don't double-post, use the edit button soon. ( I searched this site for camhack and didn't find it) I saw a video using cam hack but it requires you to have to get into a car to start it. Is this still the same? If so, I can't use that, it forces me to make choices in the game I wouldn't normally make - like pulling this guy out of his car and ticking him off. I'm not going to have a conversation with you going back and forth in the same post. No. The problem is not fixed. If you can provide me with information on using Cam Hack on foot for FPS and it works normally, with strafe using the arrow keys ( instead of turning around), if it has a shooting reticle in fps view with weapons drawn and does not require getting into a car to start it, then perhaps CamHack can fix my problem. Add to / edit the post that has not been replied to.. Uninstall the game completely and reinstall might fix your problem, Moddifiec games aren't discussed in this forum. Anything normal and simple you can come up with i've tried believe me.. ive been playing these games for over 20 years now. I have already said what I have installed and where my software came from. How about someone give me detailed instructions on using sa cam hack to get a FPS mode and I will try that.. It seem tons of people use it but no one is willing to tell me how or point me to a link of instructions.. This is Messed Up. I still don't understand how to use this to make an on foot first person view to use to shoot things. The video didn't cover that. I have my own car now so I'm not worried about pulling someone out of a car to start it. I will play with it and see if I can't figure it out. (being new to the game I was afraid everything I did had consequences that's why I was leery about car jacking before.. now I see there are so many cars and this world is so big it wouldn't have mattered.) I have a saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"-meaning in this case, that if the game works fine without the mod(s), then why try to force it to-it would save A LOT of headaches and frustration now, wouldn't it? I'm afraid that may be the only way to have the game function normally, is to not use that mod. Also, this section is for un-modded versions of the game only, modding questions go in the Modding Forums Over Here, You are more likely to get better help over there-as stated at the top of every sub forum in these sections. Your last topic was more than likely locked, because those types of topics usually end up with a bunch of flaming and/or off topicness. OR the mod could have locked it because it was about mods-which is the wrong place. Listen I don't wanna to have to reply to anymore silly post. Thanks. Also, Have you tried updating you Video and Display drivers, as well as your sound card drivers? That should be one of the first things to check when you have problems with the game.
