this is the the worst miision i have ever played in gta san andreas. the most frustrating thing is that it lags(i think its called this) during gameplay. and i cannot concentrate on my game. another thing is that they use PITs and other things to get me out of their way. pls dont tell me about cheats because i hate cheats. help me in some another way.

it lags because there is a screen showing race in the middle of track which shows real-time footage of ur race

try not to look at it i.e. keep ur camera focused on ur car

 

another advice:

if u fail, don't load ur game again.

instead keep playing, it will increase ur driving skill and u'll eventually win

believe me, it worked for me

when u get tired of not winning, go save ur game. try it some time later. Repeat

 

P.S. there are many laps, don't lose hope if u fall behind in the first few laps

What are your PC's specs?

I don't exactly have a high end PC myself, I found races and timed missions extremely frustrating due to the lag. These missions were surprisingly easier after a slight upgrade.

 

Tone down your graphics settings, set everything as low as you can.

Try these display settings:

Frame Limiter - OFF

Resolution - 800x600x32

AA - OFF

Draw Distance - Maybe half of the maximum. I'm not sure if you'll be able to see the other cars in the race if you lower it any further.

 

 

Also as undeadmilitia said, increasing your driving skill also helps. You could continue with the rest of the game and return to 8-track later when you've driven a lot more distance and improved your skill.

Hi!

 

The "8-Track-Problem" is not related to good hardware. All other stuff is, ok.

 

But this is the problem as written, depending on the real time screen.

 

A year ago (or maybe longer) I found a way to put the wall off. No problems since then.

 

This race makes a lot of fun now and can be easily won.

 

I will take a look at my files and maybe I will find the place where I changed it and if someone is interested I can upload it.

my pc is not very good when talking about graphics. its nvidia geforce of 64mb(i dont have enough knowledge about computer therefore i say it like this. in properties of my pc the adapter has 64 mb of memeory). 512 mb of ram. 1.8 ghz processor. when i remain in last places like 8th,7th etc i quit the game or start again and i think this is my main problem. i cant wait for 12 laps to be done . and my driving skill is full. my last thing remaining for 100% is this race.
